Handicapped Access Nightmare (Extra Cost)
Our stay was very disappointing because we paid extra for a handicapped suite and it was not well-equipped for someone in a motorized wheelchair with little mobility. The toilet was too close to shower/cabinet that it was impossible to get scooter close enough to the toilet to transition over. This meant needing extra assitance. Plus the bed was so high that I could not get into it from wheelchair and had to sleep on the sofa. Horrible experience overall and paid extra for a handicapped room. You should consider evaluating your rooms for mobility AND should not charge more for services that are not up to standards.

Stay at Holiday Inn Escondido
Overall it’s a good hotel. Service was good. Breakfast was excellent. However, the elevator is a bit dirty. I think it’s also being used as a freight elevator. Lastly, behind our room is Highway 15 and it does get a bit noisy at times.

Two day stay. It was a family trip. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The breakfasts was delicious. The room was clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay there again.

We were put in a room next to the elevator equipment room. EXTREMELY NOISY. And the beds were sagging a lot. Not a good experience overall. Pretty disappointed.
