Foggy Mountain Cabin is the perfect getaway for a romantic weekend or a vacation with the children. This 2 1/2 bedroom, 2 bath cabin with a hot tub is very well appointed and is nestled in a quiet gated community with all the amenities. A very well stocked kitchen, large deck area, and outside fire pit are just a few items that you are sure to enjoy at this cute and cozy cabin. Living room and bedrooms all have TV's.
To cool off on a hot summer day, be sure to visit Fall Creek Falls State Park and their Olympic-sized pool with children’s wading pool, bathhouses and a snack bar. Lifeguards on Duty. Open 10am-5:30pm June/July Daily – August Weekends Only - $6 pp, per day; children 2 and under free. Beautiful Fall Creek Falls State Park is also home to 21 waterfalls, 4 suspension bridges, lakes, and hiking trails. Other hiking favorites are: Savage Falls, Cummins Falls, Burgess Falls, Virgin Falls and more. There are also multiple local fishing spots, backroads and walking trails to explore. Other notable attractions are: Bone's Cave (16 mi), Cumberland Caverns (18mi), Falcon's Rest (20 mi), and Rock Island State Park (22 mi).

This weekend, my wife and a couple of friends stayed at the cabin. It was a great place to go and disconnect from the normal day-to-day grind. It was a place where you can go and relax and rest. We will definitely be going back again and would recommend for others to go too.

I loved the exprience. You need to be aware of three issues you may need to fix: 1) The refridgerator door will not stay sealed and runs exceedingly long 2) the tub faucet drips continuously in the front bedroom 3) the electrical outlet behind the hot tub does not work. I would definitely stay again. Thanks!

The cabin and property were as stated, and it sits in an adorable quiet community. Just the right distance from the city, and easy access to Fall Creek Falls for some outdoor activities, scenic drives and hiking. We enjoyed our stay very much, grateful for the relaxation it provided!

Fun short weekend getaway
The cabin was clean for the most part. There was plenty of items in the kitchen and for grilling. We did hear a "critter" our first night, though went we got up to see what it was we couldn't see anything. The second night we left the TV on and didnt hear what we assumed to be some type of "critter". I would recommend this cabin and would stay here again.

Great cabin but communication problems
The cabin was a lovely, spacious home located in a wonderful, wooded setting. Problems arose when trying to communicate with the property manager. We received several messages through VRBO from the property manager before our trip. But, there was a glitch that prevented us from replying through VRBO. We had to do an internet search to track down the e-mail address to respond. While this was a technical issue and somewhat minor, it was an annoyance that we should not have had to deal with. However, a more significant problem occurred on our first full day at the cabin. I was walking along the side of the house when I was attacked by a swarm of honey bees. I was able to outrun most of them, being stung only three times. (Luckily, I am not allergic but the stings were still painful.) My wife sent an e-mail to the property manager immediately. After we did not receive a response, I sent a second message the next afternoon. We received no responses whatsoever and saw no evidence that anyone dealt with the swarm during our stay. My greatest concern is that someone that might have a greater allergic response or gets stung by more bees would have a serious medical issue and there are no hospitals close by. Hopefully, the property manager will deal with the issue before someone gets seriously hurt.

The cabin and property were lovely, we enjoyed listening to the creek. However it wasn’t very clean with hair in the bathroom and tub and dirt on the counter. The water never warmed for our showers, and the hot tub wasn’t operational with dead bugs and dirty, green colored water. What was really disheartening was we had communicated that we were looking forward to using the hot tub after our 50k race at Fall Creek Falls. We were never informed that the hot tub wasn’t in working condition. The fireplace was wonderful, and what made our stay more enjoyable.

Peaceful and relaxing
We chose this for the proximity to Fall Creek Falls and was not disappointed. Very relaxing countryside setting where you have a bit of space between homes. Great open floorplan. Did not use fireplace or spa but both are a nice touch to this place. When not exploring, we enjoyed our downtime here. We will definitely return!

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. We really enjoyed the fireplace and the hot tub. The kids enjoyed sharing adjoining rooms and having there own TV. We had a great time hiking at FCF. It was a short drive from this location. We would recommend!
