Book a hotel near Jorvik Viking Centre, City Centre

"Our check in was quick and room ready 1 hour earlier the official time which was good. The hotel is in an ideal location near the train station and city centre. The room was modern and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was excellent with a good variety. I thought the price was very good. Couldn't fault anything. "

"Had an excellent nights stay in York at this hotel . Parking arranged in advance on line at q park The Shambles which was approximately a five minutes walk away . I used the hotels discount code obtained by ringing them and this cost £19 for 24 hours There is a car park much nearer to the hotel which may be worth checking as it may be cheaper. Couldn't find any fault with the hotel . Excellent location . Marvellous staff who were friendly and professional , and managed to get us checked in early. The room was spotless with a comfy bed , big shower , hair shampoo/conditioner, body lotion, hairdryer , iron and board and a small fridge . The buffet breakfast was superb with a great selection of hot and cold food There was even a waffle maker for use. The hotel is a few minutes walk from The Shambles and there are plenty of bars, restaurants , and shops nearby. I honestly couldn’t fault the Hampton by Hilton , and look forward to staying there again on our next visit to fabulous York "
