Great old 20's hotel renovated to Marriott standards in convenient mid-town east location. The $35. destination fee (whatever that is) is represented in the Expedia price quote. Left a suit bag behind, it was in FedEx the next morning.

My daughter and I stayed at the Lexington for two nights. The room was rather spacious for New York standards and very clean. The location is great with different kinds of public transportation options. It was a bit unusual to pay $3 per luggage for storage but still ok. What bothered my daughter and me was the unprofessional service at the reception at check in and especially at checkout. When I mentioned that the hotel had billed me a destination fee for 3 nights instead of for 2 nights, the receptionist reacted rudely and tried to convince me that I was in the wrong. I have worked in the hospitality service for many years and honestly expect a better customer service from a chain like Marriott. My daughter and I visit New York regularly for Broadway shows but we will definitely not stay in the Lexington again.

Overall an old hotel like you often find in NYC. Had to change room 3 times has they had various problems. Staff modestly helpful. Noisy location if you are on Lexington. Breakfast too expensive for what is on offer.

I stay here a lot but was rather disappointed this time. Some machine constantly running and could not get to sleep. Requested something be fixed at 3:00pm. Came back at 8:00pm not fixed. Then another issue and had to wait for at least a half hour and after two trips to front desk, it was fixed.

Property itself is in a fantastic location. The staff was unfriendly and unhelpful. Their job is hospitality and there was nothing hospitable about the way we were treated. Even my teenage daughter commented on how unfriendly/unhelpful the staff was. Rooms were clean. Most elevators were broken/only working intermittently through our stay.

The hotel is a walk from Penn Station but very walkable to popular NYC locations and subway lines! The staff we interacted with were all extremely nice and all were helpful!
