Upon arrival, we had a pleasant checkin. Our Queen room on the 4th floor and was nicely presented and comfortable. We had all our meals in the dining room and were very pleased with the selection and excellence in service. We used the gym and pool which met our expectations. The nicely kept grounds go on and on and we enjoyed our outings each day.

Rooms for 600 per night should be well maintained. Poorly maintained washroom...mirror falling off, water leaking onto the floor and poorly repaired shower. They came and fixed things but all that took time. . We were transferred to a better room the next day. They were unable to provide assistance to move our stuff so we had to do it ourselves when the new room became available. A/C in new room could not be shut off even by their technician so they brought a heater in to warm room up.Too noisy. Management provide a bottle of wine to make amends. Food was good but menu is limited. Service by staff very good. Manager seems to be inexperienced.

We’ve visited Montebello many times over the past 20 years. We found this time that there were some significant upgrades. The lobby furniture, new carpeting spruced up rooms. We also visited the spa and we thoroughly indulged.

Beautiful Hotel but needs work.
The Fairmont is a beautiful old hotel in a beautiful area by the Ottawa River. The service and location is wonderful. Our room was spacious and clean with a small bathroom but seemed shop worn. The Hotel is in a park like setting, with beautiful well maintained landscaping. But the building and furnishings are in need of renovation. It’s age is definitely making itself evident.

Room was in horrible condition when we checked in . Dirty coffee table, clogged sink and burnt out lights in bathroom. Bathroom was so so small and soooo outdated. The interior or the building ( dining rooms and main lobby ) are in much need of repair . Carpets torn, elevators smashed up. Maid service was not done so had to be requested at 730 pm for new towels . Overall Fairmont seems to have forgotten about this property and how beautiful it used to be.. will not be going back .. however the golf course is fabulous !
