Good staff, bad pot smell
The hotel was better than expected. It is old and a little run down, but the staff member that worked the front desk was very friendly and polite and the bed was comfortable. The only major issue I had was waking up to the smell of someone smoking pot at 2:00 a.m. The smell was awful and I couldn't get back to sleep for a while. Otherwise, the stay was fine.

The entire property is clean, conveniently located and well-managed. The bed wasn't "bad", but if it were more comfortable and if they had a breakfast bar (not the muffin and granola bars in a bag), I'd have upped to an "excellent" overall rating.

Just a very basic hotel for a brief stay
The Hotel is basic. No coffee or soda machines or water. The rooms are renovated and clean. Front reception area look old and aged, need some brush up.

This is the second time we've stayed at this property while visiting relatives in the Newburgh area, and both times we've had a pleasant stay. The accommodations are basic but more than adequate. Breakfast is not included which is fine with us because we're tired of the typical fare (eggs, sausage, waffles...) offered by other hotels anyway, It's also pet-friendly, without charging any exorbitant fee. Management might want to take a look at the air conditioning unit in our room (#122) - it was pretty loud. We'll definitely stay here again.
