Nice place, walking distance to fishermen wharf, Ferris wheel. Lots of things to do in the hotel & on the wharf. The hotel has a lot of rooms & parking, but be sure you know were your room is, before you start hauling luggage around.

Love the experience. Close to the fisherman pier. We took the big bus and was so close the stop 1. Close to Starbucks, in n out and 10 min walking to take the Alcatraz cruise.

This was a great property to stay at to be close to the Pier and Fisherman’s Wharf. Ok room, nothing to write home about. Ice maker flooded the hall outside our room and big fans running to dry the carpets. Like the game area. Like the convenience of the location. Would stay again for that reason alone. But if you are looking for a cush hotel experience, this isn’t that.

I loved the location. Very expensive carpark. Room and bathroom was not as big as I would have expected for a deluxe queen with a balcony. Staff were polite and professional. Downstairs activities and firepit area was very cool.

Loved it! We will definetly be back with our kids. We loved the location and the courtyard area. The room was fun, clean and had a great balcony but the bed was a little firmer than I like.

Great place to stay for a visit to San Francisco
This hotel is all about location! The staff were very professional and friendly, rooms were cleaned daily during our 4 night stay. No issue with cleanliness here. The hotel is older but has had renovations in recent years that have kept it up to date. With the age comes some minor issues like the hard to open patio door, toilet would run sometimes and the closet door was in need of adjustment as it kept coming off the track. The common areas are could use some TLC (upholstery on furniture is worn/torn, games room and some of the games in need of minor repair) but nothing that would prevent us from returning. Close to all amenities and many local attractions such as Pier 39. Our particular room even had a view of Alcatraz! Due to the Zephyrs great location we were able to save a lot by just walking or taking the Waymo driverless taxi (a must do while you are in San Francisco by the way). If you do bring your own vehicle be prepared for $64/day parking fee (as of Oct/2024). All in all a great stay.

The Hotel Zephyr was centrally located in the city and allowed easy access to all the major attractions. The hotel staff was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I would recommend staying at the Zephyr to families, couples and singles as well.

This is old. Not new, nautical and cute like the pictures. No amenities. No food service. It was very dated. Rooms where way overpriced. It was very disappointing. Old, the couches or chairs where beat up. Torn, ugly old. It look and felt like a hostel. The outside seemed cooler then it really was. Not for small kids. The only thing decent around that area. I would never stay there again.

Great location
Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would choose to stay here again. The rooms were clean and beds were made everyday except one. The location is perfect… steps away from many attractions including the hop on hop off bus, pier 39 and many restaurants. The shower does not have the greatest pressure but does have the large bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash. One problem here was the conditioner was empty for our entire stay but we had our own. You do get a package to make smores at the fire but this appears to be only once regardless of stay (we stayed 4 nights and only got one package each). The fire pit area was very nice if you could find a seat and the time! Overall it was a great place to stay and would stay again.

Benny was at the desk and young man so helpful to me. Really nice staff and property inside was really unique. Room was ok (good for sleeping) and the sink and the bathroom toilet was not done well at all. Unless you was a child under 5 it would work ok.

Rooms are clean, well maintained and the games facilities on the ground floor are a great communal space. Compared to earlier visits, the courtyard furniture was looking threadbare and could do with replacing. Other than that, this was an excellent place to spend a week on business.
