Hotel was decent. They do charge for parking...which is through a QR Code. The rep at the counter wasn't very welcoming...No greeting...just took my credit card and CDL to process...barely looked up and made me wait until he was finished with his task on the computer. A bit older hotel compared to other Holiday Inns I've stayed at. Room was pretty good size and bed comfy. Price was reasonable. Exercise room very small. They do have lots of vending machines with assortment of items. Down town San Mateo is within 1-2 miles with lots of good eats.

I usually stay here when I come go to visit my son, and if he has in-laws at his house. The distance and the location are very convenient for me. It is close to San Francisco and close to many other amenities in town.

Started out bad put got better. I ask the guy behind the desk are we supposed to pay for parking he said ya I think so. The answer was yes you are. We get to the room and it was ice cold at 10pm at night my grandkids where with me there bed had no sheets or blankets on it. Call down stairs said it will take 30 minutes to get some. Woke up in the morning had a good night sleep the room was warm all worked out good

The suite was spacious, great shower with good soaps etc., lots of storage space. Sofa bed mattress was not comfortable, had to lay some quilts on top to not feel the coils. Drawers that stuck, flat sheet on sofa bed smelled of perfume, probably unwashed. Would have appreciated any info at check in. Restaurant hours (which are limited), kitchen items available for our suite, ( suite had no plates, silverware, a few plastic cups.). Some staff helpful, some not. Noisy heater, dumpster and traffic outside.

The double queen room was good sized. The carpet in the room had a big spot the looked melted or something hard stuck to it. The blackout curtain was ripped up, so it let light through in the morning. It had the odor of marijuana in the hallway.

You have to pay for overnight parking and the front desk staff are don’t know the rate “maybe $20” - well I wish I gad known that when booking the place. What a rip off. At the onsite bistro the breakfast was terrible. Most of the people at the front desk don’t greet you, don’t even look up, when you walk in the door. The place was clean and comfortable, well furnished, with a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, hairdryer, even an iron and ironing board. The shower was very nice, but the shower curtain was too short, causing the water to spill out onto the floor. The bed was too soft and squishy for me.
