Such a beautiful property even in the winter. We enjoyed the peacefulness and the views of the Hudson. We are already planning our next stay! The restaurant, Goosefeathers, is a must!

It wasn’t worth the money. The service was bad. One guy was working alone so I feel bad for him, but I wasn’t helped very much. He didn’t warn me that it was a long way to my room with stairs. I went back to ask if there was an elevator and he just said no sorry. So I had to lug my large suitcase and bags down and up multiple flights of stairs. Then I got to my room and had to go all the way back up to the lobby area so I could drive my car down to their parking area and find my room again. The next morning I hurt my back taking my luggage out of the hotel. Also I had called before and asked if there were microwaves in the room and somebody told me yes in every room. My room did not have a microwave so I had to go back to the lobby to warm up the food I bought from the store. Obviously the grounds are pretty and I like that it’s a historical estate, but I wouldn’t stay again because of the service. Also the rooms aren’t very nice.

The grounds and historical buildings are great. Beautiful location but very large so it’s confusing getting from building to building. I would definitely stay at the hotel again.

Everything was beyond amazing. Only problem was the shower had little to no pressure. So washing my hair and getting soap out was a hassle but I’ve been coming here since I was 20 and every time it’s amazing

Room 293 haunted.
Room 293 in King Mansion is haunted. Yes. No one told us that about this place but we found out AFTER the fact! I ended up sleeping in my vehicle and my husband stayed in the room and a terribly disturbing night with very little rest. You should alert people this type of information before hand!

Not impressed
Very displeased. I booked TWO estate king suites. We ended up in The Cottage with one king bedroom and one queen bedroom. The king bedroom only had one facecloth! They charged me for two king bedrooms. After I went to the office, they did lower the price for the queen room. There is no signage and it was tricky to find the cottage, there was not enough parking, so we made our own parking spot. Walking around at night is unsafe, as the grounds are not well lit and it is very hilly.

This property is a cluster…. Outwardly it looks very nice but the property is vast and one must travel a long way to the room, down and uphill. Parking is a problem and valet is $20. There are weddings that also lend to the chaos. As I was checking in an irate customer slammed is hand on counter and yelled”this is the worst hotel ever!” Rooms are average and approximately $300… this was the second time I stayed and the last… in this case a chain hotel would be a better choice and much more convenient

Beautiful property and close to Sleepy Hollow Village. We thought the room was a little lackluster considering the property grounds are very pretty. The door to our room was stuck, it had tape over the lock and it was a struggle to get in and out. The thermostat did not work and when we told the front desk he said some of their buildings don't have individual controllable heat and air. The shower tile also had some mildew because there isn't a fan to allow ventilation. The room we had was handicap accessible ( we did not request that) and the water slightly pooled out on to the floor soaking the towel for a bath mat. The one issue that was hopefully not a regular incident but as soon as we PREPAID for breakfast, the fire alarm was triggered and we were evacuated and unable to enjoy our meal, we stood outside until fire department cleared it and then they said we had 10 minutes before they close. Overall, for one night it was ok but really hoped for a nicer experience than this.
