Romantic Retreat in Tin Bins Cabin

Surrounded by massive spruce and pine trees, our uniquely converted Tin Bins Cabin have been cleverly designed to provide the perfect couples’ romantic getaway. Extremely quiet and secluded, this beautiful space has been created for couples who want to celebrate all the important milestones of their lives together or simply to disconnect from the outside world and rekindle your special connection with nature and each other! Luxury "Glamping" at its finest!!
With 428 sq ft of inside living space, you can kick back and start to unwind from the comfort of your two leather recliners while gazing up at unique antler chandelier hanging from the fantastic domed ceiling. Look out the large custom windows and watch the squirrels play in the thick pine and spruce trees while lying in the huge handmade repurposed spruce wood and tin bed. Relax and sip a glass of your favorite beverage while reclining in the comfy Adirondack chairs by the fire pit.
Hike and explore the trails that wind through the woods surrounding the Tin Bins Cabin. Stay comfy and warm while watching the crackling fire in the Tin Bin Cabin's wood stove. Greet the morning sun while sitting out on the deck drinking coffee or catch the late evening sun while enjoying the S’Mores that you have cooked over your fire that is burning in the fire pit.
** Please note that we are a working farm operation with horses, cattle, and hay production. So, you may possibly see or maybe hear us as we carry out our daily activities on the farm.
The Space
Our two metal grain bins were acquired from a pioneer family farm south of Airdrie and were carefully moved to our property here on the Burnt Timber Road. The Tin Bins Cabin has been custom built by joining the two metal grain bins together thus creating a large open-plan living area/bedroom area that is centered around a warm inviting wood stove. We have created for you a unique” Silocation” experience that is one of only a handful in North America.
Our Tin Bin Cabin features:
• Dominating the bedroom is a massive handmade spruce wood and antique tin bed that Paul has hand-crafted using repurposed fence planks and salvaged tin. Sweet dreams in this beautiful bed are guaranteed with a queen memory foam mattress. Hanging down from the peak in the bedroom ceiling is a large antique Tiffany style lamp that is breathtaking in various hues of blue. Hanging on either side of the bed are antique carriage lanterns, so you have light to read by.
• The cozy leather recliners are situated so that you can sit and become mesmerized by the flames flickering in the wood stove. Between the two recliners is a unique floor lamp designed and hand built using old horseshoes that Paul has used in his trade as a farrier. Throughout the living area are several log stumps that have been crafted from large trees from our property that are used as side tables.
• The foyer area between the living room and bedroom contains a large live-edge log counter and cupboard. Under the counter is a mini-fridge and various cooking and eating dishes and utensils. A detailed packing list is provided upon booking.
• Enjoy the massive deck. The perfect place to cook your meals and eat on the cleverly designed high table and iron tractor seats while you enjoy your morning coffee or glass of wine in the late afternoon sun. NO COOKING INSIDE THE TIN BINS! All cooking must be done outdoors on the two-burner camp stove or campfire grill. The large live-edge food prep counter is located beside the large BBQ that has been reconfigured to hold the two-burner camp stove. Located on the prep counter is a very unique water tap and sink. We, also, provide plenty of fresh water inside the cabin.
• Step off the deck to wander over to the fire pit, slid into the Cowboy Hot Tub (available in the summer months only) or to walk into the woods to explore the closest trail. When evening falls, light the wood in the fire pit, have a seat on the Adirondack chairs located beside the fire pit and maybe cook a few marshmallows!
Conveniently located just off the famous Cowboy Trail and Burnt Timber Road northwest of Cremona, AB, you are centrally located to explore local attractions or head off to adventures beyond.

For the photographers in the world. We are the ideal staging area for the hour and a half drive to view and photograph the Alberta Wild Horses located in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. The University of Saskatoon Research Centre has proven that the DNA markers in these wild horses show 57 international breeds. This makes these elusive horses unique and well worth the trip to watch and photograph them. General location maps can be provided.

TIN BIN RULES
1. COWBOY LAW – You OPEN the gate – You CLOSE the gate!!! Livestock at large! Please check behind you to make sure that the gate is CLOSED!
2. NO SMOKING in or around the Tin Bin cabin. If you wish to smoke, please place your butts in a sealable container and take them home with you!! DO NOT throw your cigarette butts onto the ground, into the fire pit or out into the trees. Even Smoky the Bear knows that this is how forest fires start!
3. NO COOKING TO BE DONE INSIDE THE TIN BINS. All cooking to be done outside on the two burner camp stove / fire pit.

4. Please keep your campfire small, never leave unattended and ensure that your campfire has been completely extinguished before retiring for the night! If there is excessive wind or existing county fire bans campfires will not be allowed. Remember – small fires!!
5. Absolutely NO Soaps, Shampoo, Conditioner or Oils of any kind to be used in the Cowboy Hot Tub.
6. No discharging of food waste/bones/grease into the fire pit, outhouse or out onto the ground or the trees surrounding the Tin Bins. This gravely affects the health of our farm dog, Remy (who is not allowed people food) and will absolutely attract undesirable wildlife. REMEMBER THIS IS BEAR /COUGAR SMART COUNTRY!! Put your food waste into the garbage INSIDE the Tin Bins and then take it home with you!
7. NEVER leave your dog unattended/alone in the Tin Bins or camp. Your dog MUST be controlled/on leash and with you at all times. Please clean up after your dog has finished his/her business and take it home with you.
8. Please do not feed our farm dog, Remy, or let him into the Tin Bins. Don’t believe him when he tells you that he is starving !! Definitely not true!!
9. Waste Water - Please throw your waste water out into the trees. They will appreciate the moisture.
10. FIREWOOD – All of our firewood is FREE and a large part of your Glamping experience! An ax is provided!
We, both seniors, have spent many hours splitting the firewood to be used ONLY for the Cabin wood stove.
We ask that you split the free bucked logs provided to enjoy the outdoor fire pit and the wood-fired hot tub experience. You are, however, more than welcome to purchase our split wood @ $20/armload to burn in the fire pit and hot tub if you choose not to split wood.
11. “Camper’s Creed” – Leave the campsite and fire pit area cleaner than you found it.
12. Please sign our Guest Book. We want to remember all the interesting people that came to stay in our cabin and every guest that arrives after you loves to read about your experience!

Beautiful Peaceful get away
We absolutely loved staying here. You have your own private space and the scenery is outstanding. They have everything you need to make this glamping experience exceptional. Sitting in the wood fired hot tub under the stars is an experience we will never forget. Highly recommend for a hard working couple who just needs to get away and disconnect.
