Car stolen from lot
Our CAR WAS STOLEN from the hotel garage. Was warned on check in and even provided a steering wheel lock. DO NOT STAY HERE. It is not safe. They know cars get stolen all the time but clearly have not done enough to address the issue. Inside job?

The location was great! We were very close to Moint Royal for a nice hike and great views. We enjoyed walking through the University grounds on our way to the hike. A walk to old Montreal only takes about 30 minutes from the hotel. The pool and patio on the top floor were a nice retreat.We could do our laundry while laying on a deck chair in the sun. The included breakfast had a nice variety and was well stocked.

Check-in process worked well, the only thing of concern was that a credit card receipt was taken to cover the potential cost of making foreign phone calls or buying in room movies. This seems an outdated practice.

outdated, but clean and generally decent
The hotel does feel outdated, but if it were renovated, the price would be much higher. In that sense, we might appreciate the owners' choice not to make such an investment. Personally, I haven't encountered any major issues; this is a budget-friendly, decent option in downtown Montreal. While traffic noise and occasional late-night disturbances (I heard some shouting around midnight) can be a bit annoying, it's nothing too disruptive. I didn’t get to try the breakfast as it’s only served until 9:30 am.

I have stayed at this property at least 8 times. I keep choosing it because of its security, balcony, convenience to downtown, and free breakfast in the morning. The pool on the top floor is honestly so clean, I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms are basic and not cosmetically up to date fashion wise , but they are clean and practical. Plus you get a balcony. Always happy with my stay here.
