The Nelligan was recommended to us by a friend. Our room was next to the rooftop bar and elevators. Noisy and a lot of traffic coming and going. Our room was not clean (trash under the bed) and the bathroom was nice but the toilet seat was broken and the sink faucet was broken (Leaked and not secured to the sink). We were only there for one night but I let the desk know upon checkout and he was surprised but I did not see him make any notes in the system to have it checked and repaired. Hopefully, they did. Most likely will not stay there again.

Lovely stay in old Montreal
Lovely boutique hotel perfectly situated in the heart of old Montreal. They are currently doing renovations but they were not disruptive to our stay. The lobby is charming and they had little bites to eat as well as coffee and tea all day long. We had a lovely view of the port from our room - top floor is best. There wasn’t always someone at the front desk but the staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was lovely but had poor lighting! And there was a shortage of electrical plugs - but we made do. I was surprised not to see an eco “change your towels/sheets or reuse them” card so I think they changed them every day., which felt wasteful. The terrasse is gorgeous and it was nice to be able to peek in daily and go easily. I loved the hotel and would stay there again.

The staff at Nelligan are exceptional! They made sure we had a wonderful anniversary and provided lovely notes, restaurant recommendations, and tours to make our trip easy and relaxing. The terrace has a spectacular view of the city. The rooms are picturesque. I would highly recommend staying here.

We loved our time spent at Hotel Nelligan. We were greeted by a warm reception when arriving, followed by a wonderful greeting from the Manager the following day. We had a beautiful suite with a fireplace and jacuzzi tube. The first night they left us a tray of chocolates and cookies, and the folllowing night a bottle of Champagne. I think we had the Romance Suite. Loved the Terracce Nelligan which is the rooftop restaurant, great vibe, music food drinks and service. Everything was fantastic! We will definitely stay again.

Great location, oversized and very comfortable room and bed, modern beautiful bathroom and eccentric shower. Rooftop restaurant was inviting. Although the street was under construction, valet service was most helpful to navigate to check in.
