Location is great for public transit, airport shuttle and it is in close proximity to many places, however the immediate area has gotten quite bad in terms of the number of people on drugs and homeless. Staff provided great service. Room was good.

Love Hotel Zero 1 and this is not the first time I have stayed here. I think it is actually my 7th time. Love the location, everything is walkable. You have lots of food, drinks and entertainment all outside the hotel. It is a 10 minute walk to Old Port, Chinatown is across the street, and if you need the metro that is also close by. Appreciate the staff at Hotel Zero 1, they are all such lovely people who are very helpful. Thank you! Looking forward to my next visit.

We booked a living room suite (2 separate bedrooms & living area) for 3 nights , 4 adults. The pros are: location, the living room area is spacious, and the 2 separate rooms are good setup apartment feel. Staffs are nice and welcoming. However Cons are: for the price paid no breakfast was included compared to other hotel in the area. Valet parking is very expensive with little to no discounts. The bedroom’s mattress was hard, lowered to the floor and uncomfortable. Our bedrooms did not get enough center AC flow. We had to leave the doors open to get AC from the living room. Bathroom was too tiny not sufficient for 4 adults. I’m not sure if I would stay here again.

Stayed for three nights and didn’t get a good sleep because there is absolutely no soundproofing. You can hear people yelling and sirens all night from outside. This was a trip for my wife’s birthday and I had asked for a little surprise such as a chocolates or flowers on the bed and nothing was done despite them making “note of it”. We also asked for a call when the room was ready for early check in but we did not receive the call. We only found out it was ready when went there. The duvets were not washed and had stains. The bathroom is very small and the mirror only showed up to my chest (I am 5’8”). The shower is very oddly designed with no shelf space. The only good thing about this booking was the location to the nearby attractions like Chinatown, Old Montreal, and Place des Arts. Lots of great places to eat within walking distance.

Hotel Zero 1 was perfect for our one-night stay in Montreal for dinner and a show (and brunch in the morning). Front desk staff were helpful and courteous. It's an easy walk to Rue Catherine and Vieux Montreal. The room was clean and had everything we needed. We used the valet parking, very convenient.

It was right in the heart of the city and staff was very helpful. All arrangements were good. I only gave 4 stars beacause we didn't like the room with exposed cement beams and some webs over fridge cabinet and on roof.

Great Location and Great View (Panoramic Room)
Hotel Zero 1 is in a great location - it's right by Chinatown, steps from Old Montreal, and steps from Saint-Catherine where all the shopping is. We stayed in the Panoramic room which had amazing views of the city - we highly suggest it over any of their other rooms (there are only 6 of them!). We did not park on-site (I don't think they have their own parking, but they do have valet). Instead, we opted to park at the large underground parking lot very close by at the Guy-Favreau Complex at Rene-Levesque and Saint-Urbain. Parking was only $60 for 3 nights, which was significantly cheaper than anywhere else we have parked in Montreal for the same amount of time. The staff was very friendly and polite, and were quick to accommodate any of our needs. We had 2 issues with the hotel were: 1) Our room wasn't ready on check-in. It was supposed to be ready for check-in at 3 p.m. but it wasn't ready until about 5 p.m. The staff was very apologetic and offered us a free breakfast at the attached restaurant. 2) The gym was not fully functional. It was very small. The only weight machine is broken and the spin bike didn't work properly. There was an elliptical machine that we didn't try, and some free weights. It gets crowded if there are more than 2 people using the gym at the same time. We enjoyed a bottle of wine on the 5th floor outdoor patio - that was very nice, and there is also a very nice atrium! Overall, our stay was great! We would come back to this hotel again!

This hotel is about two miles from old town and other key areas. Our room was fine - smallish but clean. Fitness room is also fine. Did not use the terrace. Some confusion about the valet and when we didnt get housekeeping (I did not hang the "please service" tag), it was difficult to get fresh towels - called the front desk three times. Staff says they are always busy but they dont seem very efficient. Decent stay if you plan to be in and out. Right outside Chinatown.

The Hotel did an excellent job addressing some issues that arose during my stay. Once they found me a room that was enjoyable, I really loved my stay. My gratitude goes out to managers Karin and Karen who went the extra mile to ensure that my stay was pleasant! Due to issues beyond the hotels’ control, noise outside kept me up. Luckily they moved me to the other facade of the building where I relaxed and enjoyed ever since. I would gladly stay here again!! The neighborhood immediately around the hotel is a bit dodgy at night. But they do have locking doors and 24 hour staff, I definitely felt safe. Much of Montreal experiences the same issues so this is not exclusive to this property. Again, thank you for a lovely stay!
