A minimalist style hotel. Very clean, with great staff. Some guests may find the rooms short on small amenities compared to some other hotels. We’re happy with it overall. We also liked that it was across the street from Chinatown.

The room wasn't particularly clean, with garbage and hair in the drawers, hair in the bathroom, and something orange on the comforter. We're pretty easy going so the garbage and hair were cleaned up with a lysol wipe and we just lived with the comforter. We specifically picked the hotel due to there being a safe in the room. There was no safe and when we inquired we were told that other rooms would have a safe but not ours. We were also told we couldn't switch due to the hotel being sold out. We inquired about the upgrades expedia said we were entitled to, and were told by staff that they had never heard of these promotions. We arrived at night and with all the issues, the hotel (and the drive in gave us a very poor initial perception of Montreal.) We also witnessed a couple of potential drug deals occur right outside the hotel side door which we had used sporadically during our stay. On the positive side, the room itself was reasonably laid out (the shower was a bit oddly shaped but that's minor), with a fridge, microwave, and ironing board, all of which we used. The HVAC system including the AC worked wonderfully as well. We did eventually come to feel comfortable in the room, but simply didn't get that initial comfortable vibe that the hotel should be able to provide. Overall, we decided that we would either pay more for a more premium hotel, or less and stay at a lower end hotel. We felt we simply didn't get the value for the money spent.

This was a great place to base our stay. It was close to Chinatown and Old Montreal. We could easily get to the Metro and the underground city. Everytime we left the hotel we found something interesting nearby to explore. The rooms were nice enough, but one of the mattresses was a little lumpy. Still, we had a nice stay and would return.

You will like the place if you like cold, low lights, industrial look. The hotel's location is almost perfect, but it also has a weakness: It's a major crossroads for many types of vehicles equipped with a siren; a nonstop concerto.

Overall, this hotel is a solid value. I was a bit disappointed as I requested the VIP upgrade, and the only difference in the upgrade from the other room was the paint on the wall no couch no comfy chair to sit in disappointed. Upon check-in, the first person I met at reception did not inform me of any of the amenities at the hotel. It was when I heard a different receptionist, informing another guest of what they had available then I knew I was missing out. Maybe it was just oversight, but every guest should be informed on where the gym is at and that there is a rooftop bar. That’s a great addition lots of homeless people around the property for the most part. They seem pretty harmless. It’s an eyesore, though friendly staff, and close to some bars, restaurants and nightlife ( Adult night life) Gentlemen’s clubs in f that’s your thing. Walkable to old Montreal, depending on your level of fitness 15-20 minutes walk. There is a bank across the street where you can exchange your currency at a reasonable price also. This was my second stay I will probably go one more time and hopefully my room upgrade will be something more pleasing, but once again overall great value for the money.
