"We were celebrating our 55th Wedding Anniversary. I notified the Hotel months before and requested a high floor facing Diamond Head. Also mentioned our late arrival time.
We had a 21st floor room facing D.H. and the Clerk (James) scheduled a surprise gift which was supposed to be placed in our room on Thursday, but didn't make it until Saturday , however it was a nice bottle of Champagne and chocolate covered strawberries, as well as several packages of local Hawaiian snacks. Our room was clean and did show minor evidence of aging but still was very nice. All the hotel employees were courteous helpful and accommodating. I would definitely recommend a stay here especially if you are not planning to have a car. The hotel is conveniently located in Waikiki and close to shopping and many restaurants. Parking at the hotel is 70 dollars a day, which is about the same as most hotels in Waikiki. There is a hop on hop off bus and trolley system that we found to be very helpful to get around the island. I would recommend the Waikiki Trolley system 4 day all line pass. The Hyatt Regency in Waikiki made our special occasion exceptional."
