Well things did not start well at all. We arrived after driving from San Fran and whilst we were a little early and got told our room would be ready at 4pm, once we got back the front desk was rude and said the room wasn’t ready and could not give a time on when it may be available. I asked when I should come back and she said ‘I don’t know, it’s not my problem, it’s house keeping problem’ and that I need to come back later. After waiting another hour we went back and the front desk lady was just as rude and didn’t explain anything about the place and just took my deposit and gave me a key. After getting to the room, we were missing pillows and blankets for the 2nd bed. I asked the lovely house keeping staff that were walking around if I could get another pillow and blanket which they seemed more than happy to help with until the lady from check in came past and told me to go back to my room and the items would be delivered. The housekeeping staff were great but once again the rudeness of the lobby lady was appalling. We will never stay here again and can this has to be the worst customer service we have had in our entire 4 week trip throughout the USA. Highly disappointing and would not recommend.

We stayed at the Beachside Inn for New Year’s Eve during our California family road trip up the coast. Great location and very welcoming staff. The Happy Hour complimentary wine and cheese from 4-5 p.m. was a nice treat. Lots to see and do in the area. All amenities, including State Street (closed off for shopping and dining) were within walking distance. Our room was clean and spacious. The only issue was that the pool wasn’t heated, which was a disappointment for our youngest who loves to swim. Overall, would highly recommend!

Super nice hotel! Staff were friendly and helpful (they held our bags for us since we arrived before our check-in time), and the rooms are nicely upgraded. We didn’t swim, but this hotel has the cleanest looking pool I’ve ever seen. Would stay here again!

The harbor view rooms are right on the street. Our room was by the corner at the stop light. The vehicles taking off were so loud all day and night! We hardly slept. The room was nice. The balcony was so tiny, you could barely sit out there. The thing we loved was location, within walking distance of everything we wanted to do.

Great hotel location. 0.4 miles =0.644 kilometers = 8 minute walk to pier and State Street. Best part of the hotel is the excellent breakfast 7-10am. Also has afternoon wine reception (did not partake). Rooms are a little dated but clean. Good value. Great restaurant next door for dinner.

We stayed with our 5 month old baby all night in 50 degree weather in a room with a broken heater. We told the front desk they wouldn’t come up until we contacted them repeatedly. They finally came up and confirmed the heater was broken. They then offered a space heater that was also broken. I asked for a refund they said to speak to Expedia, Expedia said to speak to the hotel. In the end all I got was $25 and a sick baby and got sick myself. Additionally the walls here are very thin and could hear people in the other rooms all night. Staff didn’t seem concerned whatsoever that we were in the cold with a baby all night and the next morning. Only stayed one night but regret it.

Nice little hotel by the harbor. Five stars all around, except for some reason I always get the room with the annoying heater/fan/ac. Turns on/off way too frequently and makes enough noise to keep me awake. Otherwise, the place is pretty quiet, friendly staff and free breakfast.
