Staff was super friendly and helpful and loved the convenience of being able to communicate with them by text. FREE shuttle to and from Universal saved us a bundle and was so convenient. Pool was perfect. Our 2 bedroom family suite was just perfect and the ability to cook and eat in our room is so beneficial. We only ate out once a day and had food in the room for the other two meals a day. Kids were disappointed that Bball court was closed due to renovations but they want to go back- as do I!

The property was great. I was told by the front Dess customer service person that I can check out late that they don’t have a late check out when I look online I see they do have late check out. My flight was delayed because of the weather so I needed to stay around 1 to 2 hours. I said that I will pay, but I was told no way KM when I look online late, check out

The property was nice to stay on but the service and accommodation of staff was very difficult. We didn’t have enough towels and when requested we were told they were out and gave us pool towels reeked of chlorine. The front desk was very difficult with our requests. The location of the place and convenience was why we picked this place. Overall a good stay.

I love Westgate, I stay at all your properties every time I go to Orlando or Kissimmee. This particular time once I checked into the room, I found bedbugs and a spider on the beds. I found a bedbug on the mattress and a big one inside the pillow. The spider was in the other room, crawling all over the bed.I called the front desk. they sent somebody up to investigate it and gave us a new room. Here was where the problem lies. They told me that they would have management talk to me the next day about the bugs. And no one ever came or called me about it. I have video and pictures of the bugs. It kind of ruined it for my wife because the rest of the stay, she could not sleep very well.

Every night just as I was falling asleep the ac would roar to live in a loud eruption waking me up with a startle. One of the showers had a safety that was not very obvious. I cannot determine any other use for this knob other than a safety. There is a knob for the over head shower or traditional shower. There was a knob for the temperature, so for what other purpose would this serve, because as soon as we engaged this mysterious knob the shower turned immediately hot. The doors were installed unsquare and would not close properly. The breakfast is edible but definitely not for a price. The arcade machine forces you to use a cc because it doesn’t allow you to select the value only presets, but you have to buy a card for $2. You can select a value in increments of $5, because I had a $10 and $20 I couldn’t use cash. Then the games are different costs so if you’re not careful you will get stuck with a value unusable unless you add more. After my reservation I was surprised with a $21.99 a night fee but at 9pm after driving 3 hours I was ready for bed. Just want to warn others before they find themselves in this place. The name and gated security is all a show.

Nice place for the money

The hotel was ok. Not the nicest I’ve stayed at but definitely not the worst. I didn’t like that there was no housekeeping offered during the entire stay and the first night and next day we did not have warm water. The location was convenient, quiet and enjoyed having separate bedrooms, living room and kitchen.

Stayed in a 2 bed, 2 bath suite. Very nice, comfortable beds, full kitchen stocked with everything you need to cook. One of the bedrooms had 2 single beds, other had a king. Not good for couples, but ok for a small family. The couch also pulled out for another bed, but we didn't need it. Great veiws of Sand Lake and the surrounding areas. Lots of shopping and dining options nearby. Huge pool with warm water, smaller hot tub, not too hot. There's a gas grill by the pool. We had loud neighbors two nights in a row. One night they had their tunes cranked, talking loudly. The second night they were arguing loudly. Both times calls to the front desk took care of the issue. My only real complaint was the lobby/pool bar was shut down. I don't know if it's seasonal or permanent, but as a result, there's no food available on site. There's a Starbucks in the lobby open a few hours in the morning that also has a small breakfast selection. There's a shuttle to Universal Studios, but we ended up taking Ubers to keep our own schedule. Nice place, great location, would stay here again.
