"We had a day event to attend in the area and this Jamaican home stay was just right. This home has an affordable rate for us who are traveling from another part of the island, however, our primary reason for choosing this spot was the backyard. The deck and the trees and its visiting blackbirds' and songbirds added a bit of peace and calming that we both enjoyed. The house has a simple layout in an older style of construction but was clean, comfortable and had a safe feeling. Because of a lower ceiling due to the older style construction the home tends to be a much warmer feel, so the air conditioner in our bedroom was very welcome. We are familiar with the area and also felt safe walking around. In fact, many of the local neighbors would wave at us knowing we were a temporary stay. Even though the kitchen is a small area, we were quite pleased that it was well supplied. Helpful for those who would like to do a longer stay.
