Do not stay at this property! The description on the website does not match what you receive when you get there. It says there is coffee and tea in the common areas and there is not; you have to buy a cup of coffee for five dollars. The waitress/bartender was not friendly, nor helpful.Our check-in was not on time and it took us 45 minutes to get our room cleaned and to get our passcode to get into our room. The pool area is not nice. It hasn’t been updated in years. There’s no one on the property to speak to. You have to call, and ver rarely does anyone answer, or message them. Not worth the price!

Curry Mansion is beautiful and the room was big. I liked the extra sink outside the bathroom. Bed was comfortable, mostly quiet except for bathers late at night. We had a problem with the air conditioner control - only cold air during a (admittedly rare cold snap) and could not get any heat. No one available to come at night to fix it, so we were very uncomfortable the first night. After a few calls to remind someone to schedule repair, a repairman did come to fix it. Unfortunately, breakfast began too late for us to stay - early conference start - but we did have a drink on the veranda one evening. Lovely. I really miss having a person on site to talk to about any issues or questions. However, the people I spoke with on the phone were pleasant. We just never received confirmation of our issue. Our airco unit was plugged in, so we assumed someone had been there. We left it off and were comfortable the other 2 nights and gone most of the days. The location is excellent - we walked everywhere. Thank you for the mostly comfortable stay.

This property has taken a drastic turn from what it was a few years ago under previous management. When you walk in the front door you are greeted with a sign that welcomes you to a "self check in Guest House. There are no employees or staff on site other than the person that sells drinks on the porch. I called the number given in the event of a problem. The shower did not drain at all and was backing up. there were also 2 live roaches in the bathroom. The carpet in the room looks to be 20 years old and is badly stained. The bed was old saggy and anything but acceptable. It was discouraging to see how conditions of the property have been neglected, the front porch, the exterior of the main house is in disrepair and needs hefty help to get it back in shape. I called the maintenance number twice and had to leave a voice mail, that was never responded to and the shower was never fixed and no one every came to the room to look at any thing. The towels and linens need to be replaced and are old and dingy. I'm not one to complain or leave bad reviews but this was sad. If I had read the reviews before booking, I would have made different plans. Oh and the bathroom window doesn't have a latch to lock it. The music from Duval Street was VERY loud and went on until about 4 am. nothing that the Curry Mansion can do about that, but it is worth noting for future guests. Location is half a block off Duval so convenient to get around but hard to sleep.

Our visit at the Amsterdam Curry Mansion was Nightmarish. Our room was filthy and unsafe, smelled horrendously bad; putrid from black mold. No manager was there to greet us upon our arrival and we couldn't lock our door. The bathroom fan would not operate, was caked full with mold. We found bed bugs and a dirty tub and toilet. We urgently made reservations at the Hilton. We voiced our complaints immediately with the State of Florida. It was the worst one-night of our lives at this terrible place. The floors were incrdibly filthy and black with grime. We we were happy to find Manson on the Sea for the remainder of our 8 nights in Key West. We received a charge back credit from AMEX in less than 24-hours for the entire 8 night reservation after their concluded investigation.

Nightmare Inn - don’t book- keep looking !

Disappointed x10. What was once a magnificent Inn has fallen into disrepair and ruin. Every part of the place is dirty and neglected. We opted to wonder the streets instead of going back to the inn to relax. To start, the public space of the house is in chaos, with no rhyme or reason, there’s broken furniture sitting around and stacked up, very dirty floors that not been cleaned in months, clutter everywhere. It’s like a mansion for a horror nightmare movie set. They wasn’t a soul around, I found a small sign in the foyer that had a phone number. I called to find they have virtual check in, but had neglected to send our information so I had to call and wait on hold for someone to get back to me. With that there was no one to tell where your room is located or how to operate the keypad (fyi - there’s a tiny check mark to push at the bottom). Upon entering our room i felt my skin start to crawl, the carpet on the floor was crunchy and filthy with stains, the bedding was dingy and worn and there was hair and specks of black on the sheets that I had to work hard to convince myself was not bugs, worn towels, tv that didn’t work at all, outdated worn out furniture, broken blinds, broken lamps, a rotten hole in the door going out to the balcony, splintered deck full of spiderwebs. It was a nightmare

Don't think the description of a B&B applies here. I would change it on your discription. There was no staff on site, other than cleaning crew. All was done via an automated email. TV and wifi didn't work, but they couldn't send anyone. Also you can tell, place is very dated.

What a disappointing place to stay! The location was great and the historical buildings were interesting, but the whole experience felt very cheap, far far far from the $900/night we paid. A few low-lights : the room was filthy (stained disgusting carpet, dust everywhere,…), there was no front desk to welcome the guests and parking on property was on a "first come, first served" basis, spread over 3 different locations (what an excruciating first experience with this place). Overall, this inn felt like a cheap motel, where everything is done to save money rather than build a great experience for the guests. This was very far from the "the perfect blend of charm and modern comfort" promised in the description.

Beautifully, restored historic mansion in the heart of all Key West has to offer. The room itself was large and had ample space for the 3 of us. The only complaints would be the old carpet and the low water pressure. Other than that , absolutely charming and the management team was quick to respond.

Older beautiful mansion but needs a lot of TLC!! Rooms were good. Overall appearance of patios etc was bad. Water pressure was so bad that I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to wash shampoo out of my hair!! No extra amenities that I expect, like a coffee maker. Coffee was $5.00 per cup!! You are there for 18 hours & pay a premium! Was very good location for Duval St. With time & work, it could be a 5 Star place. It’s not now

At $650 per night it was overpriced. The Duval street and Truman house proximity were the only reasons justifying the price. The staff was hard to get hold of during planning. We got in and out almost without interacting with any staff. Not all Electric outlets worked and the furniture was old. Room had a stench of chlorine. Party was loud in the restaurant on property so no quiet. If I stay in key west I will look for another property
