The check in was easy and room was ready ahead of time for a slightly early check in which was nice since we got to town earlier than we expected. The room was clean and smelled clean without the overpowering bleach smell you sometimes run into in hotel rooms. The property itself looks very old, but the rooms are updated inside. The location was excellent if you appreciate the historic district vs being beachside, and the trolley tour stops right in the parking lot since the 600 year old tree is on the property. Magnolia Ave is right behind the property. The pool was being tended to (being cleaned with a net) and looked clean, however, when we got out, we could see our foot prints from the algae in the bottom of the pool. For the price I paid, this was a great place to stay.

I like that property is within walking distance to the city. It’s quiet, and beautifully lit up at night. However, I had a spider crawl across my pillow one night. It definitely gave off motel vibes. I would go stay at a more reputable hotel, or if you were only staying one night, not two.

Overall good staff, in all areas, but the parking is tight. As far as your outdoor landscaping goes, you need a fresh pair of eyes. And you should be capitalizing on the Senator tree. The plus is you can catch the trolly right there and take it around town. Also the pool is nice at the end of day, clean.

I had a great stay at this hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. Nice person at the office. Don't let the outside fool you, the room was very neat and new. The breakfast was ok. The property is walking distance to the main attractions. 3mn from the fountain of youth and the 600 years old tree is at the property. Thank you for a great stay. I will definitely come again.

Seemed to be some water damage in our room and a funky smell. The photos are a little deceiving at how “upscale” the hotel was. Otherwise room was clean and breakfast was good, not the worst experience we’ve had at a hotel.

Staff was really accomodating and allowed me to borrow their kitchen knife to cut up some honey dew Mellons I purchased late at night! And there’s a Thai restaurant right across the street. The spot is convenient for the many places we went to in the area!
