"My good friend and I came in after being on the coast and hiking We were greeted with joyful response when we were sharing our experience and the reason for our trip. It was to celebrate a milestone birthday and a long standing friendship Later that evening we received a sweet note and a gift from the Parkside Team, delivered personally by the lovely young woman who checked us in! We were very touched and impressed! We loved our room and it was the perfect spot to settle after our travels After we left we realized we'd forgotten some things and house keeping had them and was very responsive and helpful in arranging for us to get them back I have rarely been able to recover forgotten items from a hotel! SUPER IMPRESSED And grateful!! Parkside will definitely be my choice to stay when I come to Victoria! "

"I loved that it was near Inner Harbour and there were so many dining options right outside the hotel. The linens and bathroom were clean and much appreciated. There is coffee and tea in the lobby at all hours, which is nice. The staff was kind and wonderful. The only thing I will say is bring a pair of flip flops with you for the shower/tub, just in case. It looks outdated and a little funky that I didn’t feel comfortable showering barefoot. "
