The hotel itself was suitable and clean, but could use updating. The areas around the hotel are rather sad and don't feel very safe. The homelessness and open drug and alcohol use is mind-blowing. We had visited London around this same time last year and thought it was bad then. Things definitely seem to have gotten worse in that time-frame.

Beds were clean and nice. Bathroom was clean and room smelled nice.The carpet had countless stains and marks. The curtains do not close over the sheer ones so the bright parking light shines in the window with no privacy. There was some weird drawings (star) of the inside door of room 211 and upside down numbers.

Great experience except for the price! I know that rooms were sold out throughout the city, but had to pay $700 for one night.. It's ok, we appreciate having the room.

The Sandman is situated in the heart of London, ON, and the most expensive hotels in town are within a block of the property. The Sandman provides excellent value in a well-run property with on-site indoor parking and a buffet breakfast included. London does have some homeless folks roaming the streets but this inevitable presence in the core has never presented a problem.

The hotel is expensive but very tired & in need of refurbishment. It smells in the halls. The carpets in particular are filthy. The area is overrun with tramps & beggars. On the other hand the breakfast provided looked quite reasonable; I didn't have time to take any but I did have a quick look.

The rooms were nice but the entrance to the hotel was so dirty, uninviting, and unsafe. Homeless people were all outside iliear the entrances. It was so bad we contemplated getting out of the car. The entrance was dirty. The dirt on the windoes could be seen at night. The parking area was nasty. It was the feel of a motel. The carpet getting off the elevator was filthy. The room however was clean with good mattresses. Crisp sheets. If i has known the above factors l, i would not have picked this hotel. Then we were chaeged parking in that nasty lot. I think for that price for the night the placr should have a look of elegance.

We stayed one night for a concert and the overall hotel room was okay. We had a whole in the wall. But the hotel and surrounding areas are not the nicest. Homeless and drug addicts we didn’t feel very safe.

Very disappointed w our stay. My room had stains all over the floor and the bathroom was dirty. The shelf in the bathroom was broken. My hair dryer was missing. We also were right next to a half way house where people were doing drugs urinating changing their clothes outside the hotel and we were with kids which didn't make us feel safe. Have stayed at Sandman before and was very disappointed at the quality of this hotel. We were a party of 7 people and won't be returning back here again.
