Hotel is close to the beach . You’re right on the strip close to every thing . It’s quite at night . The staff is very friendly. Free breakfast right down the street with vouchers you have to get from front desk before going . They have free bikes and beach chairs and towels . Room was clean, beds were comfortable. They do not have any bugs of any type . Staff very helpful. The elevator did not work but we didn’t have to walk up that many steps to our room. I have been traveling to this hotel for the last 4 years and the elevator has not been operating on any trip . So if u are disabled or can’t walk up flights of steps I would make other accommodations . Other than that they also have a restaurant on site . They hold your luggage until you can check in . They also hold your luggage after you check out until you fly out. I love this hotel and the suites . Will definitely continue to come to the beacon .

The elevator was broken and has been for 2 wks. I had to walk up to 4th floor by stairs with a real bad knee. The tiolet had no water in the tank to flush

Appon arrival after we checked in paid our deposit then we are told the elevator is out as we head to the room, We spoke with an employee of the restaurant on site and was told the elevator had been out of service all week long. Pretty disappointing they didn’t reach out to let us know. Also they tell you there is a complimentary breakfast At restaurant down the road but don’t bother to give you the vouchers you will need to get the breakfast. So we had to walk back to get the vouchers after sitting down to eat breakfast. Front desk said to show them are keys which was not correct. Sh Very cool old South Beach Hotel to bad they don’t communicate with you about the elevator being out or the vouchers you need for breakfast. The beds are not comfortable the pillows are hard and made our necks hurt. Would not recommend the Beacon

The Beacon was nice older hotel that had some charm. Being a senior it was a bit cumbersome that I had to lug my luggage up a bunch of stairs to get inside. The staff was very gracious and welcoming. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. There were tons of street restaurants up and down the street with plenty of food choices but beware of prices. All in all it was a nice overnight stay.

We returned from our cruise early in the day and they were happy to hold our luggage and even provided beach chairs and towels for us to go sit at the ocean until our room was ready. Top-notch staff and everything was super clean! Our room held the original art deco charm with upgraded amenities. We did not try the restaurant, but the menu looked delicious. The view from our room was stunning and people watching was top notch. While we relished the vibe during the day, it was super noisy at night. While it did die down around 2 am, it was not a full nights sleep. With keeping the original structure in mind, there weren’t enough outlets to charge all of todays selection of electronics, however, there was a CVS next door that sells power strips. The provided Urban Jungle shower toiletries were delightful!

Great hotel
It was a great hotel. We had a good time. The restaurant on the first floor was great. We arrived in the evening and was so tired. We went to the restaurant on the first floor and after we ordered food waiter brought our order less that 10 minutes. It was amazing. Hotel has beach chairs and bikes that you can ask for free. This hotel in a perfect location. Volleyball nets across a street. Beach very close too. People who work there very friendly and helpful. We had a great time.
