Beautiful room with a great balcony and kitchen. There is a large shared deck and garden overlooking the ocean. Great location if looking to enjoy the beach, and within walking distance of a few restaurants.

We enjoyed staying at Buena Vista by the Sea and felt that the quality and condition of the property was in line with what we paid for it. The kitchen was fully functional and had everything you needed to be self-catering. We had a larger unit on the lower level which meant that there was a smaller unit above us. Unfortunately, the quality of the materials used to construct the floor above us was poor so you could hear every footstep like it was a herd of elephants and every movement of furniture, including the chairs of the patio reverberated through our unit. It drove me crazy and I would have readily traded our larger unit for the smaller unit upstairs so I didn’t have to tolerate the noise. I recommend this place but only if you get a unit on the 2nd level.

Mattress extremely hard. No adequate shampoo, lotion or soap. Got the feeling the owner was trying to spend as little as possible on guests perks. Lower suite smelled a bit like mildew.

This is our 4th stay here and we love the location right on the beach with the beautiful patios overlooking the ocean. Rooms are comfortable but a bit dated, especially the bedding. The kitchen is fully equipped to cook and has everything you need.

The suite was comfortable and exactly as described. The view was lovely, and the access to the beach was easy - just at the end of a very lovely garden and patio on the property. Check in and out was quick and easy. The kitchen was stocked with all that was needed and very nice coffee. I will come back for my next holiday.

Nice and well maintained
Very nice and well maintained place with friendly owners. Close to a busy road but the room is reasonably quiet with street side windows closed. Excellent view of ocean. Would stay again, most every accommodation in Qualicum Beach is along same road. Very nice room.

Beautiful property with a large deck on the waterfront. Our unit had a separate bedroom as well as a fully equipped kitchen. Very well maintained. Would certainly recommend.

nice place to stay
when i got there I was worried about noise since the hotel is right on the road. but the kitchen and bathroom are between the bedroom and the road and there is a door between them that cuts the noise. and out back is a balcony overlooking the ocean.

Older motel, but the ocean view was incredible. It was so peaceful and the grounds in the back were beautifully landscaped. Palm trees and flowers, a slice of heaven! Sounds of the ocean waves❤️so close.

… & the price is????
On arrival there was a dispute about the price. I was charged CAD 226 when in fact I should have been charged CAD185.27…. As per the paperwork from Hotels.com and the invoice that I was shown by Reception. You can imagine the upset this caused when he would not budge on the price… a long flight from Australia, a long way to travel to Qualicum Beach on day two of our holiday…. to be confronted with a problem NOT of my making but a proprietor who would not budge and was totally misleading in the way he read the invoice. To the room, that was extremely clean, tidy and comfortable for our one night stay. It also had amazing views across the water and is as represented on the website. It was a gorgeous little cottage and extremely suitable for our requirements. Would I stay here again… no… because of the unfortunate introduction to the property and the fact that I had a full on argument on arrival.
