Place is great and truly stunning. The restaurant is a tiny bit disappointing. If you go with the domes option it is a nice experience. Overall, for both restaurant options, definitely overpriced for what you get. However, this place is something special and my review should be taken in a positive way. This place is great and I keep going back (even to the restaurants).

Though the property was nice and units were of a high quality I will not be returning. I was given unit 201. If you are offer that one refuse it basically part of the central roof. The views consist of glimpses of the beach unfortunately the main view from all other windows of the roof and AC units. Second they really only have under ground parking that is limited to 6'6". They have a very small gravel parking area and if full parking is challenging. One instance I had to park in commercial parking area and move truck before tour bus arrived later that afternoon. Not the best as i wanted to take my son swimming. Otherwise it was not too bad but this was off season. Note did call in advance to ask about over Hight parking and was told it would be no problem. The other time I have stayed here the experience was much better.

Well-located hotel for Vancouver Island trips
We stayed here for two nights, using it as a home base to explore Vancouver Island from Nanaimo to Courtenay-Comox. While there would have been more opportunity to use all the amenities in the summer (kayaks, paddleboards, bikes, etc.), we used the pool and hot tub and enjoyed the secure underground parking. The balcony was a really good size, and would have been great to spend more time on in the summer. The mattresses seemed very sunken - not sure if they were worn out or designed to be very soft - but I would have preferred something with more support. Also, the kettle in our room wasn't working, but the coffee maker was fine. Overall we had just what we needed in this hotel (and it was quiet, as far as hotels go), and I can imagine it would be a great experience in the summer with the private beach.

Overall, the stay was pleasant. The location is super convenient and the facilities are good. Things that could be better: 1. Front desk personnel could be more polite while answering the phone. For example, the way the calls are answered currently is by saying “Front Desk”, whereas some other hotel employees would say, “Front Desk, how may I assist you?” or, “Greetings! How may I help you today?” 2. Given how cold it is during the winter and not all of the room is carpeted, it was a bit shocking to find that they don’t provide flip-flops. That’s a must have item.
