Obviously they are short of staff . Duuring the checkin, we've been waiting for 15 minutes as there was only one lady at the counter, dealing with check in clients, and at the same time to take care of other customers who come out from pool and returning towels and with other questions. Not blaming the counter staff, but problem of shortage of it.

Room was large and very clean. Unfortunately the room is directly above the pool so you can hear the activity coming from the pool area. There was a wedding there and some of the guests were very noisy in the hallway. Bed was uncomfortable which made sleeping difficult.

Had a great stay with my son & dog. All staff very friendly. Pleasantly surprised at size of room and pool /gym was amazing! Had a great beet salad with chicken at restaurant for dinner. Complimentary coffee in lobby in morning was a great touch!

Nice pool, nice hot tub, right off the highway and next to a gas station. Very convenient. Staff were super friendly and accommodating. I probably wouldn't get a pool view room next time as the chlorine smell gets into the room, but it was a neat 'resort style' experience. The restaurant was understandably a bit understaffed during our visit, which led to a longer wait, but the staff was doing their best under the circumstances. The food was still decent, and the pricing was good.

Would not recommend booking at this location. Obvious signs of being short staffed. Requested room cleaning in the morning at the front desk, assured it would be done, only to return in the evening to learn it was not. Several areas of customer service coaching identified, staff acknowledging they too are aware of the many challenges! Planning a trip/stop in Pembroke just off Hwy 17 ~ head across the street from Best Western to the Holiday Inn and you won’t be disappointed!
