Fourth stay and am going back for more in a few months. A comfortable place with a relaxed vibe.
Beautiful, low key and relaxing. Plenty of excellant restaurants nearby and a nice onsite breakfast buffet . Alot to venture out and see ,local vendors and beautiful local people! Great food! Love Puerto Vallarta 🇵🇷 ❤️

Hotel amenities are not as advertised no bar restaurant is average at best
Local area restaurants are great and beach was the best
I loved my stay here in Mismaloya. The hotel was a lovely surprise. Lovely grounds. Easy walk to incredible beach and town. My huge downside is they allow smoking all over property. I’m on my balcony/ shared terrace as I type with cigarette smoke billowing up
from below. The clientele is mostly retired Canadian / USA couples that like to sit in the sun and smoke lol. I would return.
We loved the Casa Iguana. We were there for just under a week in January. The pool was quite frigid unfortunately. We never saw anyone use it. It’s definitely doable once you get used to the cold shock, but we opted to not spend our days there or at Mismolaya beach and go to the Xalli club instead. However, when we would come back in the evening, it was fantastic. We could cook our own meals buying produce in the town, and we liked our room a lot. It was basic and we had to get creative with the limited cookware, but that was okay! Maid service was daily and they were very polite. The vibe around the hotel was a lot of older white people and some local families. It never got too rowdy and the one night it was loud, the staff enforced the quiet hour rule of 10pm, so it wasn’t a problem for us. Bed was firm but okay. The water took a while to heat up but it did. We would actually highly recommend this hotel, even though we wished they added some heat to the pool. It is good bang for your buck.
I have been to Casa Iguana numerous times and I am always pleased with the service and the location. It is a peaceful little corner of paradise that has its own pool but is less than a 10 minute walk to the sweet little beach. The kitchenette lends itself to a walk up into town for local groceries and some homemade meals. There is a restaurant on site with several more excellent ones in town. During the day there are several locations on the beach that serve drinks and food. This hotel is old Mexican in style and is starting to show its age. The beds are comfortable with wooden frames, the couch is a foamy on a wooden frame, table and chairs are heavy wood. If you have an issue with mold do not stay on the lowest floor as it backs into the hillside and holds more moisture than up on the higher floors. By the way, there is no elevator. All in all a lovely, quiet place to spend a few days or, if you are like me, a few weeks.
Nestled in the mountain side and close to the beach all at the same time. Bus stop and taxi stand very close by, and as per Mexican norm it’s attached to an OXXO
We really enjoyed our stay at CI. It’s a great little property and we were treated well. It was only a 10 minute walk to the beach and a 2 minute walk to the taxis and the colectivo stop. If you stay at CI make sure to wander further into town (away from the beach) as you will find some great little local resturants.

Friendly staff, nice setting, property and rooms are a bit tired and in need of updating
Basic hotel, nice grounds, can be a little noisy in case you're looking for complete peace and quiet. Breakfast was pretty good, front desk spoke sufficient english.
The staff was kind and helpful. Good attitudes, pleasant. Location was good, close to the jungle and nicer secluded beaches. The hotel is rustic, clean and more of a down to earth stay in the real culture of Mexico. Definitely, would stay again.
Pet friendly is a must for us. The hotel was easy to find and has the old Mexico charm that I like. Having a restaurant attached is a plus that made getting a meal easy after a long day of travel. We only stayed one night, but I can imagine staying several would be enjoyable. The pool area is a nice and relaxing space with a natural feel. Having a frig and coffee maker is a plus.
Check in was great, very nice staff ! Pool and area around was nasty. Scum from sunscreen or ? Not sure but pool was gross. Guests left half eaten chicken wings and food all over the tables and poolside. THIS IS OBVIOUSLY NOT THE HOTELS FAULT! Rooms were dated but CLEAN.
