This was a very bad experience. This hotel looks like it was built to beautiful standards and I have a hunch new ownership took over at some pt. Something has happened. The restaurant was dirty and unfriendly the one server was so cranky and she walked around scowling with a wet rage she used on every surface. I ended up having to wipe our table off cuz there was good chunks on it and she rolled her eyes shook her head at us and my kids were super uncomfortable by her. The room itself was horrible someones hair all over the floor, dirty, pebbles in room and shower head falling off. Cigarette butts all around the rooms never picked up. This is a 2 star motel style stay. Go to homewood suites or something else

It was dirty by the entrance!! I’m a smoker but everyone else doesn’t know how to use an ashtray!! Just sloppy people. Salmon Dip wasn’t great. But the poutine was great!!

Beautiful furnishings and modern looking lobby. Restaurant staff was very slow and drinking alcohol at the bar during their shift… No soap in our room and after requesting some at the lobby, none was ever brought to our room. Room was clean and in good condition

The only issue I had was for a hotel of this size you only had 1 wash and dryer coin operated. When travelling we like to wash our clothes. You could make money at it.

Lots of room for large vehicle parking. Good beds, quiet. Uber and skip the dishes available and restaurants nearby if you want to walk to them. Easy access off the trans canada hwy.

The key didn’t work at first. Got new keys only to discover it was not the room we booked. Took 3 trips to make it right and not even an apology from the hotel staff. The room also had a half used bottle of lotion provided by the hotel.

The Valhalla is usually a wonderful place to stay! However, this night was one of the worst stays that I have had at a hotel in a while. The A/C was very noisy and kept turning on and waking me up all night. The room was okay, but the access to the courtyard was noisy as neighbors went in and out of their room loudly several times late into the night. There was a partial roll of toilet paper left (no fresh roll), the body wash dispenser in the shower was empty, and the bathroom fan was exceptionally noisy. I do have to say that the bed and linens were very nice and comfortable, but other than that, it was a disappointing room.

Bad first impression when arriving late evening. Called and confirmed a crib for our baby twice, but noone knew they even offered cribs when we arrived. Also, room was on main floor and noisy, curtains did not close all the way. BUT they found the crib on day 2 and moved our room, helpful staff that day and a delicious (but expensive) breakfast at restaurant. Pool was lovely but could be cleaner. Would stay again but with specific requests.
