Check in was long and the front desk did not speak English but that’s my fault I should know the native language. It took 4 tries to get into our room without success. We were transferred into another room. I’ve stayed in Neuvo Vallarta and expected the ocean to look brown and mucky. Not here. The water is blue but the current is strong. There are no beach chairs but you’re literally steps away from the ocean. It was around $400 pesos to cab it into the romatica and malecon zone. However there is a bus stop outside for 10 pesos. It’s far out of the city but we didn’t mind because it was quieter as we had our 3 children. We did spend a lot of time out of the resort though. The food was ok. The omelet station was always good. The pools are cold until the afternoon because of the sun. Overall I’d stay here again.

Pros: the grounds are clean and appreciated the most clean view and room balcony. Cons: Check in and check out lines move slow and feel disordered with no clear indication as to which desk are in services. I did not appreciate feeling bombarded by time share approach at check in masked as a greeting. Aside from the Italian and Frida dinner options the food quality was below average. Definitely not a luxury resort as advertised.

We stayed in late January 2025. Great things: 1- It was the best whale watching from a resort we have ever seen. 2- the Ekinox bar and its fantastic waiter Oscar. We had great drinks and great service 3. Excellent ceviche for lunch Bad things: 1. Music and speakers were really loud. We didnt like going in the main pool area because we had to cover our ears. We could also hear the music in our room (11th floor). 2. Only 2 restaurants and the buffet open forn dinner. We had thought the fish restaurant would also be a dinner option sonwe felt more limited. Tips: pay extra for premium room or Ekinox access. It had sun as early as 10am. The lower chairs didnt until almost 1pm. We always got to dinner by 645pm. Never had to wait for a table. Shows dont start until 930pm. It was late for us so we never went.

Overall, we had a great stay. The property is clean and updated. The food was good! Not many restaurant options but the buffet food was good! There were hot dogs, burgers and nachos by the pool every day! The 2 downfalls to this resort are the lack of sun and beach. The sun hits the kids pool area around 11:15 and doesn’t hit the other pool/beach until 2 ish. And the beach was unusable until the afternoon. No pool chairs down there because of the high tides that come right up to the hotel. We traveled with 6 adults and 8 children and everything was more than fine! The service was absolutely exceptional from staff!

A great place to stay if you’re into all inclusive and private. It’s a 10 dollar uber to town, and between 12 and 15 dollars by cab! But for all inclusive it’s great! Bring pesos from your banks ordering system, do not exchange in Mexico and do not try to pay in dollars! The exchange rate depends on the venue or shop you’re in, if the rate is 20 you’ll be lucky to get 16 pesos per dollar! It’s why I love all inclusive hotels, you never have to go to town! But don’t expect to get a good rate at the hotel either!

They advertise as having 5 restaurants but only 1 or 2 are open each meal. Food selection absolutely the worst, cold meals, 2 hour wait to sit. Do not go if you expect to eat decent food in a decent amount of wait time. We have been to many all inclusives in Mexico and by far this one has the worst food. They have a rooftop bar and pool where we hid everyday, since there were no chairs at the main pools whatsoever, and the bar service and booze selection at the main pools downstairs were a joke.

Staff was great and very friendly. Karla the entertainer lead was so fun. I liked the remote location so it was not busy with people trying to sell you things every few minutes. I did get stuck in an elevator so took the stairs from then on. The restaurants were pretty good. We liked the buffet best with all the choices.

I went with 2 girlfriends and I would not stay here again. We were there just after Christmas to just after New Years. The staff was ok (not great), but we felt like outsiders at this hotel. The hotel was filled with mostly families (probably the time of year), and not many were Americans. There was no place to listen to music and dance. The restaurant choices were awful. There was only the buffet for breakfast, which got old after 3 mornings and then there were only 2 dinner restaurants besides the buffet. The food at all these restaurants was not very good, except for the omelets that were made to order - those were good. There were only 2 pools and the way the hotel is situated, there was no quiet pool or place to go to. The games and all the music at the pool area was so loud and heard from everywhere except the 12th floor rooftop which you had to pay an extra $20 a day to access! That was ridiculous! Also, being the time of year that it was and the way the hotel is situated, the pool area and the beach area was completely shaded until about 3:00 and then there was only sun until about 5 when it went down behind the hillside. There were no lounges on the beach and the lounges at the pool areas were all taken by 7am! People sat all day in the shade for a couple hours of sun in the late afternoon! I wasn't going to do that. I never thought I'd spend a week in Mexico and come home without a tan! I will never stay here again!

This review is based on my experience during my stay this December. The room had great views, but the stay was not pleasant due to the big waves and shutting and cracking doors all night and day long. I couldn’t sleep. Also, there is a very limited selection when it comes to the food they offer. I noticed as I was eating chips, some tasted stale while others didn’t and I can only assume they mix the chips from the previous day into the fresh batch. Overall I wouldn’t recommend.
