Nice place in a beautiful location and bad interne
Great location, the restaurant is also good enough and the beds and washrooms were clean and comfortable. The internet on the other hand was awful, not even to use whatsapp in our room and we had a few problems with the power that they finally fixed. Also the room service entered twice without consent and not even knocking the door.
Should be called David Thompson RV resort. Leaving out the RV is key. This is not a resort. The actual room instayed in a fairly nice, but no heat
I had it cranked but apparently they had not turned on the boiler yet. It was cold gettting out of shower. I know it was the end of sept but the restaurant had very limited option. Only blaburger or chicken sandwich was available at the restaurant, the drink optios were diet pepsi or 7up. Thst was it. I personally would not stay here again for the 170 bucks i paid.
The worst’s total experience we had, no hair dryer, no electrical heat tea pot, and the worst thing is their wifi signals are so bad! Because that area doesn’t have the mobile signal, so the wifi is very important, but the room we have there is no wifi signal as well, we asked the service to change the room, she refused
Found this property to be not that nice. Curtains in room were very dirty and window sills were full of dead bugs. Shower bar in bathroom was broken, t.v. remote did not work. Rooms were not that clean and the surrounding property was very unkept.
I'm sure this has NEW MANANGEMENT (Sept 2024) because the staff were all really very nice, especially the gentleman who served us dinner in the restaurant. We read the other reviews and we worried about staying here but we were quite happy with our experience. I suspect this property was recently purchased by a family that is in the process of fixing it up. We stayed in room #19, which was newly renovated including new Sealy mattresses. The burger and fries in the restaurant were great. The overall property needs work but the location! Right in the middle of the rocky mountains with an amazing view overlooking a blue lake. There were mouse traps in the room but, to be honest, I was happy to see those instead of having the hotel poison the mice, which would wind up poisoning any birds that ate the mice. We searched the area and this was by far the most reasonable price for a motel at $250/night. Its not a high-end hotel but it was clean and comfortable and I would happily stay there again.
This hotel was the only choice in the are, but it was decent. There is no daily housekeeping to supply you with towels, coffee, cups and emptying trash. It was a daily struggle to get the basics. Considering how expensive it was guests should not be required to search for it. The office was always closed when we need it. There is no signal and the wifi is very sketchy after 8 when all the guests are in.

I’ll always be grateful for the opportunity to see the Northern Lights from the property. There are few trees, it’s open and little light pollution.

I didn’t expect much before staying at this property because it’s basically in the middle of nowhere, but I thought it would at least be quiet. Unfortunately, there were other guests at this motel who loudly partied till past 11:30pm at which point I had to put in earplugs in order to sleep. Management did not respond to my messages asking them to do something about the noise. I see no reason to ever stay here again.
