We celebrated our anniversary here and were given a lovely gift of wine and a couple of chocolates. Plus our room had wonderful Mountain Views. The staff were all lovely, and it was a fairly short walk to town. We deeply hope that this inn was spared by the fire.

Friendly greeting. Upgraded to a suite on arrival (likely because it was hotter than Africa and the AC unit is in the living room, not the bedroom) and we had a nice stopover. Jasper is a little getaway everyone should experience. The Tonquin worked for us. Thinking of this community as it faces tough times ahead…

Wasn’t ideal having a portable AC unit as the only source of AC for the whole 2 bedrooms. It was extreamly hot so we had to close off the back bedroom to try to conserve the cool air. A fan was provided (quickly) when asked for a solution, however the fan didn’t really help.

Made last minute reservation. About the last moderate price dog friendly room in Jasper. Good room. Could use a few more outlets. Amazing place to walk the dog in the morning.

The room is smell like an old carpet. The tub drain was not working properly. While having a shower, the water was reaching my ankles. I had to call for them to fix it. The faucet attachment to the wall was loose. And to make it worse they only had one portable air-conditioning in the room that was barely working. We set it up for 18° and the room temp was at 26°. I had a terrible experience. It is a two star hotel priced as a four star hotel. The staff were OK. I asked them to give me a bill at checkout and they told me that they were not able because I booked through Expedia. I find this unacceptable as this is the first time that this has happened to me.

Pleasantly surprised.
After reading some of the reviews I was a bit apprehensive about our stay but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The room was very clean, the beds were comfortable, everything we needed was there. Is it a bit run down, a little but aren't we all as we get older...lol. Check in was easy, she wasn't the most cheery person but efficient. Check out was better along the friendly lines. We had one small issue, through no fault of Tonquin but it was dealt with quickly. Would I stay again, for sure. I have stayed at far worse places and at top of the line hotels, Tonquin fit the bill for what we needed. Thank you
