Book a hotel near Embassy of the People's Republic of China, Downtown Ottawa

"We used this quaint little hotel for 2 nights. Our room was on the 2nd level and had the cutest balcony with a view of the US consulate in the distance. Our room had 2 single beds, a kitchen and bathroom. Parking was nearby. The breakfast was good and included the usual buffet fare. The best part was the walking distance to the ByWard Market, many shops and restaurants and bars."

"Hotel itself was nice - rooms are exceptionally clean and well renovated. Beds were nice but a bit on a harder side. Very nice pillows. Great convenient kitchen, appliances, set of dishes, etc. Nice sitting room, dining space and place to do remote work if needed. Plenty of wardrobe and storage space. Walking distance to restaurants and the shopping centre. Cons: long lineups at the elevators, not very clean outside, many homeless people around. Some People on the street were not friendly, approaching with vulgar advances without any reason whatsoever. Felt not safe and was ready to exercise self defence actions. "

Great place to stay at an affordable price. The location is great as almost every location within the Parliament Hill area is reachable on foot..At the same time, the location is quaint and silent. Strongly recommend to give it a try compared to Fairmont or Elgin Hotel. "
