"Great place with great staff and food "

"We were pleasantly surprised to be welcomed with upgraded perks such as complimentary spa offers and discounts, a private pool and beach access and access to the adjoining resort facilities. We were pleased with the food at the a la carte options. However, accessing them was a logistical nightmare. The online access was down. This required guests to line up daily at 7:30 am to TRY to get a booking for that day. On our second last day, I was first in a line of 25, and was still unable to access any a la carte restaurant for that day. No one was able to book. There is no advance booking- I don’t understand the issue. It must be improved. One other concern was the use of artificial sweeteners in the bar mixes. We all ended up choosing non-choice drinks due to this practice- not only is it an unpleasant aftertaste, it causes migraines in one of our party. We switched to clear drinks like gin and tonic instead of delicious fancy drinks which was disappointing. The juice bar was a real treat, and we utilized it daily. We found the choices for vegetarians and healthy eaters were plenty. The crepe stand was a lovely choice, and the availability of cappuccino at most locations was a bonus. We enjoyed the evening activities and the entertainment and animation staff were wonderful and sometimes hilarious! The dancers in the Latin show were truly world class. Overall, with those small bits of feedback, it was an exceptional vacation and we will certainly try to return. "

"The staff were VERY accommodating, nice, and quick to respond to our queries and needs. Even though we arrived late (past midnight) we still got a quick tour of the property on the way to our room, check-in was smooth and we received a warm welcome. The facilities and property felt very clean and new, the design is modern and layout made it feel like a village even though it's a large resort. They have these long golf carts that run throughout the day going from one end of the resort to the other, which was nice since it can be a 5-7min walk to the beach depending on where you're staying (a nice break on a hot day too). The beach was also lovely, the water is clear and clean, and the resort really is beach front. The beach front itself is very large, but going in the first half of November my partner and I felt like it wasn't too difficult to get a spot on the beach. Also, having walked along the beach to compare other resorts - Ocean Riviera's beach seemed to be the best in terms of keeping the sand very clean, free of large rocks and maintains the seaweed regularly. We would definitely come back to this resort, it would make a great resort for families and couples trips, we saw groups of all types here having a great time. the El Baso building is adults only, the families stay in a different building. Each building has their own pool too which was nice. The only thing we found a little confusing is how to book certain restaurants, otherwise 10/10 experience! "

"This was our first visit here. You read the reviews and wonder how true they are. This resort was great. The staff super friendly and helpful. We did have to take the stairs to the 5th floor because the elevator only went the 2nd floor. But with as much as we ate and drank we probably needed to take some stairs. We would definitely stay here again."
