"This was my first time at Gatlinburg River Inn after years of coming to the Gatlinburg-Pigeon Forge area. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was comfortable and clean, and the property was gorgeous. A wonderful central location to the Gatlinburg Parkway and only about 15 minutes from Pigeon Forge. Would highly recommend!! "

"Check in and out was a breeze and staff was very friendly. This is not a newer facility, but the room was clean and was kept that way by the staff. We chose creekside and the views and sounds were very relaxing. The free breakfast was a little carb heavy but there is a great restaurant for breakfast right across the street with excellent prices . Overall I would stay again."

"The resort itself is amazing, well kept, and the front desk staff are very helpful. However, DO NOT let them talk you into attending the timeshare presentation. They had a great deal on some amusement tickets that we were going to purchase anyway. We just had to attend the presentation to get the tickets. I asked the concierge FOUR TIMES how long it would last and he said "no more than 90 minutes". 4.5 hours into the presentation we realized that was a lie. As another review on here has said, it is very high pressure and they basically expect you to purchase a timeshare. Luckily, my wife and I stood strong and refused. They were very unhappy, but as I told them, WE PAID TO BE HERE! We were not there on some free two night getaway that required a timeshare presentation. All that to say, this is a wonderful property with great amenities and staff. Just make sure you STAY AWAY from the timeshare presentation!"
