The staff was very rude. A main floor suite was requested for an elderly mother, they didn't even look just said no. There were dried booger on 2 walls. The faucet looked like it hasn't been washed in months. And generally not kept up. The hand written invoice also felt sketchy.

The guy at the front desk was fabulous! I checked in very late, the office was closed…..but they found a way to still get me into my room!

The room was clean but dated and worn. The nearest restaurant is a block and a half away. There was an indoor pool however it was in a building across the road and it was never mentioned to us.

It’s a great location, close to downtown restaurants and amenities but the property really needs some reinvestment to update the facilities. It was clean, but actually smelled of disinfectant. It could really use a makeover which would probably attract more guests.

The first pet friendly room we were given was filthy and smelled horrible . Hair balls and dust bunny’s in the corners. The floors and baseboards looked like they had never been washed ,walls were filthy , black hairs on the pillows and sheets. The room was full of mosquitos. The second room we were offered was not much better and the staff didn’t seem surprised to hear my complaints.

Only stay here if there’s no other option for you! The room we were staying in was gross! The bedsheets were dirty, the pillows were smelling gross! The bed was making a noise when you moved and it was extremely uncomfortable! The property is old and we can see that! The room we were in was smelling bad! A lot of flies in the room and around the property so please bring a bug spray! We did not even bother to try the pool or sauna given the conditions of the room! Please fix your motel!

Great location in Golden. I was able to walk by several local businesses. Grocery store very handy nearby as well as many other points of interest. Didn’t use pools or sauna, but nice to know they were available.

Checked in and opened the door to the room and the smell was awful . The floor hadn’t been swept. The room was very old and ran down. The bathroom was dirty and the towel rail was hanging off the wall. They had the nerve to charge me for my dog. The inside of the front door looks like it’s over been washed down. It was very dirty. I decided to go back to the reception and asked for my money back as I couldn’t not sleep in that room. The photos on the website do not reflect the state of this place.

Decent stay in the middle of Golden.
Marys motel is a decent place to stay a couple of nights. Rooms are neat and has all the necessary amenities like microwave, fridge and coffee maker. The motel also has a pool, sauna and hot tub which was good for us to relax after a day of activities. Our only concern was that we couldn't get hot water at day time (2 days in a row). Each time we had to inform the reception and then wait for an hour before the hot water came back.

While old and a bit outdated, this property is well kept with a clean room and very friendly staff. Parking is excellent with a brewery and other dining options right next door. Comfortable bed and pillows.
