Great location for Downtown events. We had a great river view room...There were a couple issues that should be repaired. The shower door leaked and the sliding door to the balcony was not in good operating condition! The Lobby and Room was clean, but hallways and elevator not so much.

The Double tree by Hilton in downtown Jacksonville was a disappointment from the moment I arrived. The first room I was given had a very dirty bathroom starting with the bath tub. The bathtub was filled with dirt and rust stains. Overall the entire hotel needs to be renovated or demolished.

The Hotel has a great view and is in the center of downtown and surrounding areas. Also, only 15 min to other attractions like: the zoo and botanical garden. The only cons is that is to near to the bridge and is a little noizy at night.

Running water, mildew and weed
First off I usually love double tree hotels. This one was just off. Plus: quick response to request for towels. Beds decently comfortable. Cons: mold/mildew in bathroom shower. Very low water pressure. Shower faucet ran at a steady stream at all times. Called maintenance and they said they couldn’t fix it cause they’d have to shut water off to hotel to do it so just put towels down to dampen the noise so we could sleep. Kept having housekeeping trying to get in room on second day when we were inside and front desk kept calling saying they didn’t have us registered in the room on the second night even though I had already paid in full AND they confirmed 2 nights at checkin. Overall this one is old and dated and in need of a good cleaning. Hallways smelled like weed. Staying at a different double tree in Virginia later this month so not ready to give up on the brand in general. Just won’t stay here again.

Staff was incredible in every way. The building was by far the worst I have seen for a Double Tree. Paint chipping off the walls inside and out. Popcorn ceilings that also needed help. Bed was extremely old and sagging. The entire building needs a complete remodel and makeover
