**Warning: Drugging Incident at Koloa Landing Hotel** Our stay at Koloa Landing Hotel in Kauai became a nightmare when a member of our party was drugged, likely near the hotel pool and bar. This incident was terrifying, especially since we had children with us. We reported the incident to the police, visited a clinic for testing, and informed the hotel. Shockingly, the hotel's response was inadequate and slow. They only checked the cameras two days later and did not involve security. Their main concern seemed to be avoiding liability, showing no genuine concern for our safety. The hotel's lack of security is alarming. Anyone can access the premises, including the bar and pool areas, without safeguards. Their cameras do not cover a significant portion of the pool area. For a hotel charging $6,000 a week, this level of carelessness is unacceptable. Police believe Fentanyl was involved, either introduced into a drink or left around. This raises serious concerns about safety, especially for children. Would you risk your kids accidentally overdosing at such a place? Be warned: staying at Koloa Landing Hotel puts you and your family at significant risk of being drugged, with no protection or concern from the hotel management. Avoid this place for your safety and peace of mind.

Beautiful property and wonderful amenities. It was a real splurge for us as the resort is very, very expensive (like most things on the islands). This is definitely not the cheapest, but was truly wonderful. The setup is perfect for families. The apartment suites are wonderful with laundry and tons of bathroom and living spaces and private patios.

Property has aged quite a bit compared to the pictures. Room was pretty dirty/worn down with a clogged sink. Only one restaurant with so-so food that fills up fast (same with fitness room). Overall a “fine” hotel with convenient location, but nowhere near the price compared to other resorts we visited while there. Really friendly staff though. Overall, bit of a letdown

Everything was pretty amazing. Lots of fun activities for family and kids right there at the resort. The pool areas are phenomenal too. Just a couple minor issues though… Some of the gym equipment is pretty dated. However, they do have a lot of free weights and a peloton bike. And they do have free fitness classes outside some days. Also, I don’t know if it was just our luck of the draw with our room, but the beds were a bit uncomfortable/squeaky. It world be great if they updated the beds. Though everything else in the room was very nice (full kitchen, big fridge and freezer, updated appliances, etc.)
