No in-person check-in after 5pm. Room # & code are messaged to you after you fill in an intake form including picture ID. Try doing that while driving or flying! Not sure what you’re supposed to do if something is wrong upon check-in.
At no time are you asked about or provided any information about a pet. Our Expedia filters included ‘pet-friendly’ properties.
We checked in well after 6 pm. No one at front desk to advise of a pet.
Checkout is 10 am, which is a notification you receive with the message advising of room # & code. No one shows up at the office until 10 am.
We were finishing up some breakfast shortly after 10 when someone opens the door to the room. No knock despite a Do Not Disturb sign on the door. The woman (I learned later this was the front desk clerk) was petrified when seeing our little Havanese dog. She slammed the door shut.
I packed the car up and went to the office where I was accused of “sneaking a dog in”. If I was going to sneak the dog in we would have left before any staff showed up. I responded by saying how unprofessional and discourteous it was to open a hotel room door without knocking especially with a do not disturb sign out. I was chastised for being in the room past 10 am as if this excused not knocking.
How are you supposed to request a later check in when there is no one at the front desk when you arrive or before checkout time???
I would really like to rate this motel higher since it’s a good room and bed.
