Close to plenty of places to eat. Streetcar and bus routes is literally one minute walk away. Can walk to downtown in 30 mins although I do like walking and walk at a decent pace. Note that you have to leave your shoes in a cubby hole with your room number on it. There is a shared kitchen, although I never used it so cannot comment on it. There's no TV in room which is fine as that is not something that affects my decision for accommodation - as long as it is clean and quiet which it is. Would stay again if visiting Toronto.

The property reminded me of places I have stayed in Italy - small, quirky, but clean and with new room interior, modern and well functioning plumbing, and an excellent value for money. The location was very convenient for us.

Wonderfully pleasant staff. Great price and a nice place to stay. The accommodations are humble. If your goal is to save money to spend while experiencing Toronto, this is a great place to stay. I look forward to staying here again.

The location is excellent! The building is old, not fancy, but clean enough. There was no tissue in my room, which was inconvenient, so when I got food outside, I picked up some extra napkins for my room. I came to Toronto on a solo trip, and I can recommend this place for a stay.

Unfortunately this rental is not like the pictures. My room, although it had a small window, was very dirty. The walls had drips stains, the covers are old and not white, the furniture is barely hanging. They used old furniture doors as slates for the bed. Kitchen is very dirty. The rooms are in different levels on a very weird format, with very steep stairs. All the floors are carpeted and stained. I was VERY mislead. My stay was around 120$ per night but I think staying in a shared hostel somewhere else would have been cheaper and better. I would rather share a clean room than stay alone in a rat nest.

If you are traveling alone on a budget, this place may be a good option for you. While I was staying there, people around me were quiet. But, we can hear everything, like the walls are made with paper. If you are a light sleeper, it might not be the best option. Private room with clean shared area and staff was really nice. For the neighborhood, plenty of place to eat/drink. At night, stay in the main street has there's lots of people walking every hour of the day. Didn't felt unsafe. Very walkable, it's about 40 minutes walk from the CN Tower. 40 minutes from the Casa Loma. And maybe 30 minutes from ROM.
