"My family and I had a great time at this resort. It's very beautiful, right on the ocean and just a 30 minute walk to Bucerias. I have to call out Brandia (concierge). You went above and beyond for my family and I and we are so grateful to for that. You were so kind and sweet. You made our stay even more special and we cannot thank you enough🙂 Food: Snack shack was nothing to write home about, it was a snack shack. Buffet was a hit and miss: Breakfast was good, lunch was good and we never had dinner there. The Grill/Italian: was delicious and Oscar and Hector are amazing! We never ate at Ayami or the Mexican restaurant. Reservations were available, but we did end up eating a couple of nights at 8:30/9. Pools: *The large one in the middle is for everyone. *There's a smaller one that is for Alltitude members only. *There is an infinity and rooftop pool that is adults only. You have to get up around 7/7:30 to reserve chairs (crappy, but everyone does it and there are some people that reserved both at the pool and the beach area...greedy). We never had a problem getting chairs (3 of us) and there is someone that comes around to take pictures then comes back and takes yoyr stuff away, if you are past 45 minutes. Although this did help free up some spots, it still gets filled up pretty quick and pretty early. Michel at the pool was always smiling and came quickly with drinks. The grounds are very nice, but could have been cleaned better throughout the day."

"My husband and I stayed for our anniversary for 5 days and absolutely loved our time here! We have talked about going back and bringing the kids next time. The property is beautiful, private, quiet and large without feeling so big and spread out like some huge resorts. It’s amazing for a couples vacation but also seems like a great option for families as well. There is a whole section of a kids water park a little off the main pools area, nightly kids movies, great snack options and space for them to run and play. We loved the number of pools, some more like hot tubs and specifically labeled as private for adults only, some tucked away in the trees and even a natural spring pool that was refreshing and beautiful! The restaurants were very good and the buffet was fresh with lots of great options. I loved our room, spacious but still comfortable and cozy feeling. Access to the beach by their shuttle was super easy and convenient and the little town was charming with some great restaurant options too! The staff were all lovely and so friendly and helpful. Really feel we lucked out with this spot and hope to return before too long! "

"The staff was nice, I enjoyed the towel animals very much. The facility was clean. The food was good, no RSVP needed for the restaurants. The pool side activities were fun and hilarious to watch. It was a very nice experience. "

"The property is gorgeous and the staff was remarkable and extremely service forward. There were a large variety of pools and restaurants to choose from, and all the food was good to excellent. We knew the property was remote, about a 40 minute ride from Puerta Vallarta, which meant taxi or uber rides to get anywhere ($20-30USD each way). The rooms were clean and comfortable and housekeeping was thorough, including a daily restock of the free mini bar in the room. but beware that there is construction on one side of the resort and we needed to change rooms when we arrived, that wasn’t the view we came for. We opted to attend a presentation for their vacation club bc we were given a VIP access to Secrets for doing so. Without that access the choices for restaurants and pools would have been very limited. Be aware that the beach at the property is very rocky, not great for beach walkers. But the waves are good for surfers and it was fun to watch them from many of the pools and restaurants. Cons were minor. Bath towels were scratchy, light switches in the room were in an odd and inconvenient spot, and music at almost all the pools tended to be loud and thumping nearly all day long making it difficult if you just wanted some peace and quiet and listen to the waves. One last thing, Amstar has staff onsite to book excursions but they don’t include shuttle to the meeting place so plan to add $40-50 USD for round trip transportation to the starting points. "
