Is becoming a trashy dive for drunks 😒
I have stayed here several times. I used to rave about this place, but all they focus on now is the Tiki Hut part. I feel like all the hotel is good is drinking and heading back over to the hotel. Very trashy behavior by guests and even just sitting out drinking what they brought, smoking by the rooms. It just isn't a family oriented as before. The flooring was water damaged and coming up smelled so musty in the room I just so disappointed this time I don't think I'll be going back. They revived it just for it to become a dive hotel again. So Sad

Started with good morning extra money at the property got that taken care of insisted on there was absolutely nothing that they could do to wait until the next morning for that portion get to the room to king size bed we have one towel, one pillow in the room, the air conditioner did not work very well I go down to the front desk to inform them. They proceeded to tell me that they are completely out of everything so we just gotta kind of roll with sharing. A pillow bar was closed. Just nothing at all. That was expected. Bed was so uncomfortable. We killed two roaches in the room.

This was a very old property and you could see daylight around the door, the first room door was very old, warped and broken and more than a 1/4" gap all the way around. I asked to be moved to a better room with a door that didn't show daylight, it was a bit better but still showed daylight around the door. The bed was comfortable and TV was good, the shower was warm but no hot water. There were holes in the ceiling as well. It was adequate and we slept comfortably

Not a family place
You can hear everything everyone does, and everyone can hear everything you do. I listened to the housekeeping sweeping ourside of my room each morning. My children were woken up at night by delivery drivers parking in front of the room. I was threatened with police action after I left the property due to crumbs and food items on the floor left by my children. I was told there were damages, when all it would have taken was a broom and a mop to clean up anything left behind. Including the threat of police action, I was told that there would be fees incurred for the amount of time the room would need to be closed to repair it, which honestly is a joke because they could have paid me $15 an hour to clean that room up and I still wouldnt have received $10 for my service. It was a simple and unavoidable issue to fix with a three year old, and a two year old staying in the room. Dont stay here if your children are young, or just children at all.

The mildew/mold smell of my room stuck on my clothes and belongings even after I left the property. The room was not clean, and neither were the towels/bedding. The people at the front desk were very nice and if it weren't for them, it would be a 1-star review.

Family owned???? Not family friendly.
I had a medical emergency the morning of checking in that prevented me from traveling 9 hours to the property. As sad as I was about this and as unfortunate as it was, I was then charged completely by the hotel. Hotels.com fought for me and to no avail on a refund. I would have thought that a medical emergency would have allowed me some grace to not financially be taken for almost $500 from.a "family owned business". That $500 dollars meant alot more to a single dad in the education field then it did to a family owned hotel. Looking back at your reviews now I do see others had experienced the same misfortune. I hope others read this review and think twice about booking. Extremely sad and frustrated about this. Lesson learned to only deal with national chains that have understanding and compassion for the customer.
