I loved Cancun but will never either come to this hotel or will recommend to family and friends. Flamingo hotel is really really bad.. just got back 03/21. Don’t don’t book a stay at Flamingo. Pay a little more will have a better experience..

My stay for 21 days, first 10 days, maid cleaned twice. Booofett food mediocre. Unruly, crying infants and toddlers was maddening. The hotel lovely, my room facing Ocean lovely. Check out gal quoted $30 their taxi to Airport, he scammed me for $40 a long with breaking the handle ony luggage making it no longer pullable. It weighed 35 lbs., a third of my weight, and I'm 80 years old. Luggage damaged beyond repair. Kindly mention suitcases are to be removed by straps and not pull handle. I won't consider Flamingo again! Respectfully submitted, Miss Branch

The internet did not work!!! The staff was really rude, specially the ones serving at the restaurants. The luggage helpers were insisting for tips (propina) - really unpleasant!

I felt as if I was inconveniencing the staff. I wouldn’t go back but I did enjoy myself because it’s just a beautiful place to visit. The pool is to cold also even the hot tub was the same as the pool. The staff should make you feel more comfortable.

I was very excited to stay at this property as I have never stayed in a hotel in Cancun. Always been around Playa. The hotel was average at best. The furniture and rooms are pretty old (toilet was about to break every time you sat down). Staff’s favorite word was always no. The food at the buffet was always very poor in quality and variety. I ate chicken the three days I stayed there. Speaking with other customers, they had the same thought about the food. The only person I found very responsive and helpful was the general manager. If you complained to him, he was able to help. But you don’t want to feel like you are in the school yard telling on others. In general is not a horrible hotel BUT there is a looot of room for improvement in all areas.

Not worth a stay
The drink service and drinks were good. Within 30 minutes of moving into my room, it was flooded with 2-3 inches of water from a heavy rain that emptied from the roof into my room through the front door. The whirlpool/ “hot tub” is a joke- it’s just like warm/cold and nobody uses it because of that- don’t know why they even bother having one. The buffet in La Fuente was bad- not enough Mexican food choices and they only had tacos 1 of the 3 nights I was there even though it was advertised as every night.

The all inclusive was fairly good, but the room that we got was not stocked properly with our reservation our room came with a bottle of sparkling wine. We never received it even after talking to the manager, and he promised to send somebody with the bottle. You can hear a lot of noise from other guest and also toilet noises I would have to consider it really hard to going back.

This hotel is horrible! I hated my 3-day stay here. WiFi: There is no WiFi in the rooms. Once I realized I did not have WiFi in the room, I immediately brought it to the attention of the front desk. They switched my room to a room where the WiFi router/modem is in, so that room will have “higher WiFi sensitivity”. I was in room 206, then switched to room 205. The supervisor on duty, Axel, did his best to assist me but the WiFi still did not work in room 205. Even a bellman told me switching rooms won’t help, there’s just no WiFi in rooms. Had I known this, I wouldn’t have booked this hotel. On Expedia they advertise WiFi in rooms and most common areas. It was so bad that every night I would see a few people in the lobby on their laptops since the WiFi wasn’t working in their rooms either. Bars: The bar hours are kind of inconvenient. One bar opens, when the other bar closes. The bars close at 11pm, which to me is kinda early to be an all-inclusive hotel. Also, the bartenders will stop making drinks like 15 minutes before closing time; they only have beer available. I encountered this issue at the lobby bar. I went to get a drink at 10:45pm. The bartender told me they’re closed and only have beer. I told him I don’t drink beer and it’s not 11pm yet. He refused to serve me. I went to the front desk to inform them and that’s when he made me a drink. Horrible! Restaurant: Small dining rooms. Room: Clean for most part but my shower was dirty. Please book another hotel!

The great customer service and location are what makes this hotel good enough to stay. Beautiful beach, and employees like Christian, Cinthia, Lissie makes a great stay at Flamingo Cancun. I didn't like this time that the "Deluxe room with ocean view" was not deluxe at all, a shower with no door caused wet floor every time we took a bath, ocean view covered with palm trees,the internet didn't work properly, tv control didn't work properly . The hotel sent us a bottle of champagne the first day, it was a nice gift but not enough to compensate the room deficiencies. The hotel needs a mayor update.

Place looks rundown. Had to switch rooms because lights, safe and fridge weee not working properly and paint was peeling on our balcony. Very limited dining options. Food was not great at all. There are not a lot of options to eat. The Albatroz restaurant requires a 24hr reservation, and it’s the same dinner menu. We had a party of 8, and 4 of us ended up getting sick due to the food. On our last night, my husband and I woke up around 2:00 am due to a noise. It took them 1.5 hrs to finally give us another room to be able to sleep with our boys. However, the wanted us to pack everything at 3:00 am to be able to get a new key to a different room. After arguing at the front desk, they gave us another room to be able to sleep. The noise was coming from the room downstairs and it sounded like a loud clock. It was very loud. The staff at the buffet and restaurant were very nice though. All in all, I will pay more money next time and stay at a better hotel.

Had the worst stay! Very old dirty property, half the things were not working in my room. Customer service was terrible.. so was the food.. was so hard to even get a coffee from them. They were even in charge of the Starbucks inside and most of the time no one was there and you would have to try to hunt one of the workers down. Pictures were definitely a catfish. One night asked for water bottle and they said no.. you have to pay for it and said sure and they said you’ll get it in the morning not now. Just many bad experiences, the price should have been a lot lower then the amount we spent here

Pros: The property is nice, the beach is absolutely beautiful and long. If you like taking long walks on the beach, you found your place. The restaurant and Bar service were excellent, props to CHRISTIAN AND JOSÉ AT the bar CHRISTIAN always made sure our mini fridge was full. Cons: The rooms on the “lagoon” side are very outdated and near the road,, so very very noisy when the traffic is high. Difficult to get someone to come clean the room/ get clean towels/ get toilet paper …We had to go steal toilet paper off a cart. The food wasn’t great except for the pizza place. We had pizza every day!

Room was very filthy, looked like black mold around the ac, the balcony door didn’t lock, toilet didn’t flush , mini fridge broken, the took 2 hours to get us checked in so we arrived at 3 pm on dec 25, 2024 and only got our room at 5 pm. They sent us to TWO occupied rooms before that. Horrible mean management at the front desk. Would not change our rooms, no apologies for any of the unprofessional and unacceptable conditions! Nightmare vacation!
