The service at the bars was VERY slow. At points when the bar was "open" no one was serving/working behind the bar. There is NO 24 hr snack bar. When we asked if they were bringing out more - the response was "no". Cleaning staff came to clean the room at 5pm while we were getting ready for dinner. Very unfortunate; however we made the best out of the situation!

HORRIBLE! Do NOT Stay here! My room had roaches, was dirty, the hot water was inverted, the food was either watery or cold or simply too tough to eat. Do not waste your money here unless you want to be treated awfully and cry for half your stay. If you know Spanish don’t speak it here unless you want to be treated like one of their employees and get told you can figure it out yourself. 2 thumbs down, I will never waste my money on a Barceló group anything ever again.

I’ve been to this hotel 3 times in the past 10 years and it feels like each time it got worse. The food was very limited and they typically would run out during the food service, and just recycle foods that had made for lunch or breakfast. The staff was kind but it felt like they were short staffed.

Third time staying here in 2 years. Had a couple issues with key card reader and a gap in the window, like someone tried to open it. Got a supervisor involved and our key reader was fixed in minutes and maintenance came back and fixed the window while we were at dinner. Super amazing staff!!!!

The bathroom in our room was disgusting. There was mold on the ceiling and in the shower. There was also blood on the curtains. The location of the property is beautiful. However, the rooms need updating and cleaning to remove moldy conditions.

Stay was good. But being in Hotel industry, they should know by now the there will be vegetarian guests. Very few options for vegetarian people. had to ask multiple times the manager to arrange some veg options. Also, they keep fruits and veg food next to non veg trays where it is highly likely of contamination with non veg as other guests are not considerate of not contaminating. Didn't like this.

The resort was run down & dated. Door keys never worked which required several inconvenient trips back to the lobby for new key cards. Food was terrible, had to eat at local restaurants first e every meal which contradicts the idea of an all inclusive resort . Overall , the worst resort I have ever stayed at in Cancun. Would not recommend, in fact I would advise others to stay anywhere else but at this resort .

You get what you pay for. I arrived at 3:30pm & didn't get into my room until 6:30. One person at front desk. No map of property or explanation of where restaurants were, towels for pools or any other services provided. I walked around until I figured it out & asked other guests. Concierge brought me to the elevator...I've always been brought up to the room & shown basic functions of room. Air conditioner was stuck at 24 celsius (74 F) no matter what it was set at (I set much lower & temps never lowered). Spacious room with comfy beds. Rooms were never refreshed or restocked until I called front desk, which was in the evening. Housekeeping was so non-existant until I complained to the manager. The last day my room was refreshed without having to call front desk--too late. Beautiful beach with no palapas, umbrellas or shade. Pool area umbrellas were broken-one stayed open. No one was around to assist. Food looked beautiful but was bland & flavorless. Anything other than buffet needed reservations which took forever because they were also selling tours at same desk. I've stayed at other Barcelos and expected similar quality. Each Barcelo must operate on different managerial programs and this one was very disappointing & lacking. Totally understaffed housekeeping & front desk really makes for a substandard experience. Spend your money elsewhere.

I love how welcoming the staff were and how quiet and safe it was around the resort. What I didn’t like was there wasn’t enough food options and the food wasn’t all that great. Overall, it was okay to stay for a couple days.
