The property had great rooms, friendly and helpful staff, and multiple pool areas. The drawbacks are that you have to climb down multiple sets of stairs to access the beach and the food selection in the La Paloma buffet is not as expansive.

The staff were all very attentive and friendly to our family. The resort is beautiful and there is enough to do yet not overwhelming. Making reservations for dinner was tricky, but the hotel staff was able to help us out. Everything was very clean and well maintained. We all felt very safe and didn’t have any concerns in this area. Highly recommend.

Worst resort I’ve ever been to in my life. Such an old resort. No food they wouldn’t let anyone have more than 3 pieces of bacon for breakfast. Hotel room was never cleaned even when we called down and begged to have it cleaned. For all inclusive they find every excuse to charge you for everything. And they make you use credit card for everything they don’t accept cash. Worst stay will never return or recommend.

It was a beautiful beachfront property. The restaurants were good for the most part but the Brazilian steak house was a disappointment. Also the liquor quality was poor quality. But the coffe bar was wonderful & staff.

Property was great! Lots of pools and the beach was the best part, beautiful water, no trash plenty of seating areas. Food was okay but they do have plenty of options. The restaurant by the beach was our favorite.

If by VIP access they pull you aside to an area during check in to let everyone else know you booked with Expedia then yes, I received “VIP” access. For what it’s worth, nobody outside the person checking me in needs to know what service I used to book my travel with. This felt very weird and unappreciated. Other issues: 1) Didn’t get the room we reserved. Reserved Lagoon View so as not to hear the boom boom music at the pool - nope didn’t get what we reserved. Asked for two double beds. Nope. Got. King. Well done! 2) I’ve stayed here at least seven or eight times. But do they have a record of me staying as a loyal guest over the last ten years. Nope. Don’t waste your loyalty here. 3) Food. The food has gone downhill in a big way. Yes it’s all inclusive but it used to taste good. Now it tastes like cafeteria food. 4) Beds. Beds are hard and uncomfortable. 5) Minibar in rooms. These used to be fullly stocked every day with beers, sodas and waters. Now? Don’t expect to get this filled unless you want to argue with management about it. Classy touch here. 6) Glass and flatware in disrepair. Most glassware and flatware is chipped or cracked. Lack of attention to this is indicative of bigger issues. 7) Left hand obviously doesn’t know what right hand is doing. The front of the house staff doesn’t really seem plugged in to what the rest of the staff is doing. Some of the old timers are still around and still wonderful. It’s a shame so much ambas changed for them.

Charging $5 for room service is crazy. Staff did not explain the app. We had to figure that out by calling ourselves. No availability for restaurants at all! Didn’t get my money’s worth here.

First time in Cancun and I really wanted to enjoy the sea, but in this area the waves are too strong. So if you want to enjoy the sea, go more North. I was so disappointed with the food, I was expecting more. But the hotel is very clean and the bed very very comfortable.

The buffet has limited hours so you have to look at other options. Room service isn’t a great option as the food arrives cold and sometimes the person who delivers your meal may asks for more of a tip which we tipped them but they thought it should be more. The housekeeping was bare minimum. The beverage guy who stocks the fridge is awesome. The people who check you in are awesome. The beach and water are amazing. The villa was fine for our group. We did have one that was right near the water and right before we were to go to our room, they switched us to a room near the pool so we were a bit confused on that. Some of our favorite people were Ulysses Orlando Alicea and Martin.
