Hawaiian boutique waterfront hotel in paradise
Our favorite boutique hotel on Maui. We love resorting but our vacations are a special time to bring our family together, and The Mauian has earned the label Our favorite destnation getaway on our favorite Hawaiian island, Maui. We have found we are not alone, many guests we spoke with are returning guests, reuniting generations of their families. The location is excellent, waterfront to Napili Bay, the rooms are clean, our family is safe, and the sunsets can't be beat. Our recent 7 day getaway was the best yet, perfect snorkeling with Eagle rays, turtles, eels, and every kind of tropical fish you can imagine. Buy foaties on your way in, bring your go-pro explore this beautiful bay. Try local restaurants and cafes, you'll be pleasantly surprised, Sea House restaurant has an excellent breakfast, and wonderful Macadamia nut crusted Mahi Mahi, with specials every night. Kaanapali is just a short drive away for shopping and restaurants, Duke's restaurant at sunset is a must when you visit Maui. Cooking in, poolside barbecues are available, pool feels 80 degrees and is spotless. Most of all my favorite feel at the Mauian is the meticulously maintained landscape. I'm drawn back to this property year after year for many reasons, the pride they have for their landscape is one of them. If you want to enjoy the Hawaiian vibe, beautiful sunsets, lush lanscape, friendly people, be close to new adventures, give the Mauin a try, they won't dissapoint.

Great location and views
Pros: amazing location, beautiful landscaping, rooms have kitchenette, friendly staff beach is just spectacular! Cons: during 8 days stay we had housekeeping clean the room only once (other days they just gave us towels), room was dark and AC was blowing right on the bed. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in Maui :)

This is such a great spot, everything felt carefully chosen and the location was awesome. My reservation was for a pool view but honestly- partial ocean view ;) we spent time on another part of the island and I will say, this spot had the best sunset!

Hidden gem condo with small stove. Close to a restraunt no breakfast anymore. No wifi and floor was slanted or warped pretty bad in 201. 3500 for the week grocery store close by if ur nit wineing and dining then this is ur place pool small and the have great grills and supplies in room wayer brita pitcher was great

This is a sweet little hotel in the best location right on the bay. The staff is sweet. The rooms and gardens are clean and gorgeous. There weirdly were no blankets on the beds(just sheets) but “extra” blankets in the cabinet and at the front desk. We only stayed for two nights, but wish we had stayed longer! We will definitely be back again and again.

Overall we will definitely be visiting this hotel again in the future. I traveled with my husband, left the kid at home, and we thoroughly enjoyed having the beach within 50 yards of our room and the grounds were so beautifully landscaped. The cove is incredible for snorkeling and swimming! The hotel is approximately five minutes from a market for stocking your fridge, but a bit farther away from other shops and restaurants which we didn't mind as we rented a car. The property is 50 minutes away from OGG airport. The room itself showed signs of wear and tear...the shower sprayer would not stay attached to the wall, some of the shutters were broken, and the kitchenette sink faucet was loose. This didn't ruin our experience because the room was clean and housekeeping checked in with us daily (they were so friendly and wonderful). There is a large commons area between the A and B buildings, which is available for guests to use which leads to a lot of extra noise during the day. If you are traveling without children, I would recommend visiting the property when school is back in session as several kids used the commons area for baseball and crying all hours of the day. Not the most peaceful environment from 7a-10p. Every staff member we met was fabulous! We really appreciated the chairs that were available to use on the beach, no umbrellas. Also, regular sunscreen was outlawed so pack your own unless you prefer to be mineral white.

Classic Hawaii Steps from the Ocean
Don't have enough good things to say about the Mauian! My family and I stayed there in July of 2024. The rooms have a 1950s bungalow feel - not "dated", definitely a decor choice. Each room has a small lanai, and robes for the adults. Be aware: there's no TV in the room, but it's Hawaii so if you're sitting in the room, shame on you! Juice and coffee in the morning, drinks and music in the evening. Views to dream of, and plumeria trees right outside your door. Most importantly - less than 50 yards from the stunning beach. The staff was very accommodating of us. We were travelling with a larger group and our plans changed last minute, forcing us to leave the Mauian before our scheduled checkout. They graciously offered to release us from the remainder of our stay, with no argument. If you're looking for a classic Hawaii experience - laid back, beach, snorkeling, SUP, etc. this is the place. We'll be returning on our next trip!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Mauian. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous and you are steps away from one of Maui’s most beautiful beaches! The security guard at night is so helpful and friendly. Our only complaint was the walls are pretty thin. The lady staying on one side of us was so loud and we were woken up by her almost every morning. We loved the grounds, staff, and beach, and would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful property. House keeping and security were wonderful. Hair dryer needed replacement and wish there were more amenities. Salt and pepper in rooms, vending machines for laundry soap or other items would be nice. Great vacation, will stay again.
