Some of the other reviews made me a bit nervous about this property but I have to say I was so happy with my choice! If you want a typical hotel then I’d suggest the Hilton down the road but if you truly want to experience the Old Quebec City then this would be a perfect choice! They have done an excellent job at taking a 400 year old building and making it so warm, cozy and inviting! We stayed in the loft and no there’s not an elevator but it wasn’t a problem!! The location is perfect! Right in the center of town, we waked to everything. We loved our time there and didn’t want to leave! We are already planning our next trip!

The room was a dream. Attic space in an historic building across from the Chateau Frontenac, in the heart of Old Quebec. Doesn't get any better than that.

Was a nice authentic place right in the heart of Quebec city. Was very easy to get to by walking everywhere I wanted to go. A lot of the tours were a pick up right across the street. The only concern is is there’s no elevator for people who need it. Also parking is in a parking garage that is an over four minute walk down a. . The day I left there was a leak over the stairs and there was no choice but to walk underneath the drip. I guess that’s just to be expected an old buildings.

Loved the old world charm... The melding of new and old throughout the building and the room. The room was spacious, well appointed, and extremely quiet. Perfect location to be in at Old Quebec city. Only downside, mattress was to hard for our liking and the water temperature in the shower was sporadic. The restaurant downstairs, Le Buchette, was superb.... excellent food and staff. Can't wait to go back!

We liked the location in old Quebec. Walking in and out was great. The hotel was nice and furnishings were comfortable. Issues we had were staff didn’t address problems. The website says the hotel has parking but it doesn’t. You will have to park in the city lots. The refrigerator in our room didn’t work and wasn’t replaced over the entire week we stayed there. The room was only made up twice in a week. The bathroom is nicely appointed but we found it impossible to control the water temperature. We liked the style and “old Quebec charm”.

Great location but …….:
This is a small boutique hotel with a great location. The room was small with an awkward layout, an open shower at one end and a toilet in a raised closet next to the bed at the other end. We were unable to regulate the temperature in the room on a very warm fall weekend, with the heat set very high. We asked for assistance on this matter 3 separate times but it was never addressed. Fortunately the windows can be opened however that leads to noisy nights given the proximity to so many nearby restaurants and nightspots. We love Quebec and plan a return visit but will not stay at this hotel again.

Location, location, location! This hotel is in the heart of Old Quebec - a short walking distance to everything you’ll want to see. Wonderful staff, nice room. The one negative was that the shower was in the bedroom - a bit odd.

Easy to walk around Old Quebec City from this location. There are a number of stairs and no elevator. The staff helped bring up the baggage. But would not be convenient or desirable for those with mobility issues.
