I rented a queen bed for 2 nights in this property. Based on the advertisement, it looks new and modern. In reality, it’s completely different even the wall colors are yellow and not even grey. The shower area is so small. The pictures on the advertisement is completely different than what it is in person. What nice about this hotel is walkable to every store.
Overall, the room worked for our one night stay. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel decor was dated though and there was no food on site. Parking is also off site but the location was good and within walking distance off shops.
Located right next to the Chateau Frontenac, making it a prime location to stay in at an affordable rate. The Toboggan ride at Dufferin terrace, funiculare, the famous Petit Champlain street with the goblin door and the Quebec citadel are all within walking distance. A lot of restaurants near by as well. Hotel does not provide breakfast though, but the rooms are well maintained. No parking space. 5 min can ride to the Via rail station, 25 min to the airport
I would like to thank the front desk clerk who was working at around noon on December 21. I didn't realize I had left my purse with money and passports and he gave it back. THANK YOU!!!
Besides this incident, the staff was great. They gave me coffee and provided everything I asked for.
The bed sheets smelled so good!!! The view to the park was wonderful.
I would definitely stay here again!!!!!
The room is okay, actually nice since it’s just behind the famous hotel. It’s also close to the tourist spots, all within walking distance.
The washroom is a bit small but manageable. The only issue is there’s just one trashcan, which is in the washroom. But everything else is fine. There’s a microwave in the common area, free water, free coffee, and free ice. I’ll stay here again when I come back to Quebec. Also, easy check in and check out. They allowed us to leave our luggage before checking in since we arrived early.
Bien situé dans le vieux Québec, la vue est incroyable pour les chambres face au fleuve. L'endroit est vieillot et bien rénové. Il y aurait besoin quand même d'un peu d'amour : crochet arraché du mur, moulure de plancher non fini.
We enjoyed our stay. It’s an older hotel so don’t expect modern facilities. It’s plain, no continental breakfast but there is a Keurig in room with coffee (but no tea). Room was clean and beds were very comfortable. Located in Old Quebec so Walking distance to dining and shopping. Very convenient location. The city at this time of year was beautiful. Would definitely recommend.
Visiting Quebec for the Christmas markets. Very, very convenient to the Frontenac and the various markets. Furnishings are a bit older and my bed was rather squeaky, but the bedding is very nice and everything was certainly clean. Did not have much interaction with staff.
We had a good girls weekend getaway. Location basically behind the Hotel Frontenac, is an easy walk to all of Old Quebec. Parking in a near by lot was easily accessible. The room with 2 double beds was a good size. Small bathroom with a corner shower stall which would be a challenge for an average guy. We had a heating issue that was addressed the same day. It was noisy at times but not ongoing. We’re able to store our luggage after checkout to grab some breakfast before we left town. Overall it was a good experience.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
The location was good. The hotel had no elevator and the stairs up to our room were steep and narrow. The hotel room was okay but the bathroom was inadequate. The shower had no place to place shampoo or soap so you had to put it on the floor of the shower. This was a problem because the shower wasn’t draining properly. Because we were afraid the water would overflow onto the bathroom floor, showers were problematic. The sink also did not drain properly. There was only one hook in the bathroom to hang towels. There was a rack in the bedroom, but one side had come detached from the wall, so was useless. There is no parking on site but a parking garage was right around the corner.
It was a lovely hotel and a very friendly staff. I have one complaint. I am sure that since Canada is so close to the USA, you must get a lot of english speaking customers. It was really cold outside and after walking around all day, it would have been nice to come back and watch a movie. The TV was only in french and there was no way to stream our own netflix or change the language to dub over into English.
We booked a room for 3 nights to visit the Christmas Mart. It was an excellent safe location. Even though we had one of the small rooms (double bed and very little room to move about), it was comfortable. We would definitely stay there again but have larger room.
