Awesome!
Weekend getaway with my wife in one of our favourite cities. Absolutely loved the loft! Everything was perfect. Cool vibe, roomy, perfect location, spotless, and admittedly the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. Have already booked my next stay.

Le séjour était bien, c'est l'arrivée qui fut un cauchemar. Habitus que nous sommes de louer des Lofts de Québec et de recevoir les codes d'accès et toutes les informations utiles dans les 2 heures avant l'arrivée, quelle ne fut pas notre surprise d'avoir à remplir un questionnaire d'une longueur inouie sans possibilité de pouvoir parler à quelqu'un, pris dans le traffic du samedi fin pm, dans des rues aussi étroites. La seule personne à qui nous avons pu parler nous a dit que tout ce qu'il faisait c'était de s'occuper des urgences. Aucune autre information. Seule autre possibilité si on voulait parler à quelqu'un c'était de rebrousser chemin et nous rendre dans St-Roch à un bureau. Nouvelle formule, pourquoi nous demander tant d'informations personnelles, nous ne comprenons pas. Certainement pas une amélioration.

Great re-done hotel with some "teething" issues
Maison Kent is in an very old historic building just steps from Chateau Frontenac in the heart of Old Quebec and walking distance to a ton of restaurants, shoppes etc. in both Lower and Upper Quebec. Could not be a more ideal location. Rooms were comfortable and spacious, with excellent ambience & feel. Small cafe on main level for take away but not to sit. However, terrace outside the Frontenac Starbucks had good coffee and croissants, and great view of St Lawrence. High marks for this and new wing under construction. However the check in process was awful. The hotel sent Check-In instructions the day before arrival but if you are not able to check email that process fails, and NO ONE at the check in desk til 3 (or 4?) PM, and no one answers the phone number given in the sign at the door, and there is NO PLACE TO LEAVE LUGGAGE IF YOU ARRIVE early. we sat nearly 2 hours in the stairwell and finally had to call HOTELS.COM to have them call the hotel and let us in. Hotels.com staff were very apologetic but still to wait for Kent staff to arrive. we had already paid the room so could not decamp elsewhere. Also, style over function. The shower was beautiful but its pan was treacherous when wet - slipped & nearly fell, and NO grab-bar on the walls. Needs more attention to minor details like that which could easily ruin a vacation.

Updated, clean, and comfortable accommodations. We had a little confusion upon arrival as to whether the code was required outside or in the entryway. Thankfully someone came along and helped. Besides that hiccup, an uneventful and otherwise lovely stay.

The accommodations and amenities were great. Communication was nearly impossible as no one was onsite- no Front Desk, no personnel to help with problems and get info. Phone did not work. Checking in was a nightmare. If it weren’t for strangers help we would not have even gotten a room key! Very poor system for anyone who has no internet service in a foreign country. If they had provided someone onsite to help with issues, it would have meant a big difference in this review.

Fabulous place to stay in Old Quebec City. I was travelling with my adult daughter so really wanted two separate bedrooms as well as common area. This made the penthouse a perfect home base for exploring. Close to absolutely everything, the location can’t be beat (literally right next to the Chateau Frontenac). The unit itself was meticulously clean, lots and lots of towels, very comfy beds and a well supplied kitchen with everything one might need to prepare a full dinner. Nothing was missed. Good to know, if mobility is an issue the penthouse is not for you, the elevator only travels to the third floor, you must walk up the final flight. I / we not hesitate to book here again on any return trip to the area.

Only thing wrong with this place is the bath door that does not fit well and hits something everytime you try to open after being closed if you can get it to stay closed
