We evacuated here during Hurricane Helene. The situation for the hotel staff and management was difficult to say the least, and they were very kind, polite, and accommodating to everybody. This is an older La Quinta, but it is clean. It’s a great location if you’re seeing a concert across the street or attending events at the state fairgrounds. You can literally walk right across across the street to both. No, this isn’t a super luxury hotel, but the way they handled adversity was amazing. After we checked in, we watched as hotel management brought in giant generators on flatbed trailers just in case this little La Quinta lost power, we would all be comfortable. We ended up not needing it, but it was wonderful to know that they were going to take care of everybody. I would highly recommend if you ever had the need, and make sure you shake some staff hands. They work really hard.

This place was disgusting. A chunk of my bathroom door was missing, and the room was nasty. It was already dirty when I entered, and no one came to clean daily.

This hotel was terrible. The room smelled musty and it felt damp. The AC unit was very loud and the sink water smelled like sewage. We were forced to leave a day early due to Hurricane Milton and they refused to refund us even though the state of Florida is under a state of emergency. This hotel is old and is in desperate need of an upgrade. The elevator has wood paneling and was very bumpy. There are a few perks, the fairgrounds is right across the street and the hotel offers a complimentary continental breakfast. Check-in was easy.

Roaches.
They over booked and gave amy room away even though i paid for it 6 months in advanced and checked online earlier that day. They “cleaned” a room for me while i went to pick up someone from the airport for this convention. They cleaned the room and reset one of the beds, but there were roaches all over the room. it was absolutely awful and the elevator felt like it was about to break so we used the stairs. this was the most awful experience i have ever had at a hotel to be honest.

Although I knew this hotel was a little rundown, the perk was being directly across from the fairgrounds which was great. The person working the front was nice everytime I spoke with them. Room was alright, clearly doesn’t get a deep clean but it was cheap. Only complaint was the wifi was down for all three nights I was there. So being from Canada I had to pay $15 a day to use my phone which added up without the wifi.

When we first booked into room 327 it was musty. Oh well the hotel is right across from the concert ok... we started putting our bags up and went to close the curtian. 1st off window seals are busted so its just white fogged windows. Once again I wrote it off. Then went to move the blinds and a roach was in it! My hubby took care of the bug and we were gonna be late for the concert so I figured we could address it when we got back,and yes i have pics. We went to the concert and came back and wanted a shower for the night. Faucet wouldnt turn on. Went and got the the night time desk attendant who was helpful and tried to get it to work but couldnt. Apparently a common issue there. She put us into a down graded room as we were told that was our only option due to bookings etc. Ok... the new room shower ALSO wouldnt work. Then went down and let her know, she assigned an new room. Same thing. Faucet didnt work. Put in a third room and bath faucet wouldnt work. It took the 4th room to finally have a working faucet but it leaked. Also in the first room there were dirty trowels behind a chair presumably from the previous guests and the remote was under the dresser and shower was rusted with mold and grime around it... all the room changes were about 2am.... at 2 am i just want a shower and sleep....totally stressed out. Btw we were charged for 2 nights here (with deposit) over $500! They gave us back the $100 deposit and a credit of $50 "inconvience" credit for the shower issue.

The staff didn't seem to be concerned about your problems. They treated it as if it was normal not to have internet. I spend most of my time at the nearby Starbucks. The phone in the room did not work so i had to walk to the lobby area several times for my concerns.

Considering we were only there to sleep, the room was older, the mattresses were not comfortable, the hallway needs new carpets, lighting, and new paint. The breakfast was also very limited so we went out. Our air conditioner didn't seem to cool down enough for us.
