Overall we have always enjoyed our stay at the Matrix - have stayed there for over 10 years on a annual stay cation -unfortunately items that are advertised did not happen- evening wine tasting/appetizers - buffet breakfast etc - this was not shared during the booking process or upon check in - understand why certain activities may not happen due to business but share the information with the customers as the card key holder still states the activity so the expectation is there - the little things make a difference-

Place was great but not the surrounding area. There is a lot of drugged out people zombie walking. Went there for an oilers game and the Hotel and staff is perfect… but order in to the hotel maybe don’t go out on the streets. This is also not the hotels fault but the surrounding residents (homeless and drugged out) are not very pleasant.

The hotel was fabulous. The rooms were nice. The restaurant food and service were amazing. What was not fabulous were the dogs across the hallway from us and the dog down the hall that barked and barked. While the barking did not occur throughout the night, it was enough to drive me mad throughout the day. I may suggest keeping guests with dogs on a floor with each other to keep people with pets happy and those of us who leave them at home happy as well.

Quality hotel
Very friendly hotel staff and very clean comfortable room. Good walking distance to several dining options and hotel breakfast was good. This was our second time staying here and definitely won’t be the last.
