This hotel is NOT a 5-star hotel, more like a 3-star. Check-in process took over 1hr although there was no line and we had completed an on-line check in advance. Our room's air conditioning did NOT work and it was very hot and hotel offered a technician when I called immediately upon entering the room. I spent over an hour with expedia & had to go to the lobby two times before we were switched to another outdated room where the A/C worked but the room still felt warm. We booked a 7-night stay & the room was not up to any 4 or 5 star hotel standards. The bathtub needed remodeling as it was stained & the furniture looked like it was from the 90's not at all like the pictures shown on hotel website nor by Expedia. Felt like a fool for pre-paying the entire stay as part of a package. The room was not properly cleaned daily, floor was always dirty (sandy), side tables were not cleaned except by us and they did not even switch the glasses we used to brush our teeth in the bathroom they rinsed them and put the same dirty glasses back, which was disgusting. The restaurants were ok but the wait times for the buffet restaurant were 30 mins-1hr wait at times and for other restaurants at dinner wait was over 1hr. Not enough chairs on the pool so we had to either pay $250 to reserve a poolside bed or wake up at 7am to put our stuff on the chairs so we could have at least one umbrella for our family of 4. Horrible hotel and bad experience with expedia when we complained about room.

The property appeared quite different from how it was portrayed on the website. There weren't many dining options, and we experienced long wait times to be seated at the restaurants. Additionally, many of the staff members were rude and unhelpful, though the staff at the taco restaurant stood out as being exceptionally kind.

Pretty big resort property but all amenities are fairly accessible. The elevators took longer at times. There is only 1 bar around the main lobby which is rather small. The area were they do nighlty shows is small as well. The buffer restaurant (Malva) seemed like it had the same food everyday which got boring. Lemon fish restaurant had a few good rolls but average otherwise. The best dinner experience was Blue Agave - their tacos were pretty amazing. The main swimming pool with the swim up bar could get a little crowded on Friday and Saturday. All in all it was average and I'll probably look for other options next time before coming back here. Although, I rarely come back to any one place as I like to explore other places.
